A Couple Weeks Later

"Last time around we saw some changes in our usual Top Ten heroes," the announcer said, "Lets see where our heroes stand today."

(....announces other heroes that are irrelevant to this story)

"And in the lowest we've ever seen him in the billboard, coming in at number 6 Endeavor."

Endeavor didn't say anything as he took his place in Number 6. Steadily his ranking had begun to fall since Dabi had revealed his home life to the world.

"(Announces 5-3 also irrelevant) and coming back up after falling down to number 4, we have Hawks coming in back at Number 2." Hawks walked up to take his place at Number 2.

"And our Number 1 Hero, Best Jeanist! What a recovery story from our Number 1 and Number 2 heroes," the announcer said as Best Jeanist took his place in Number 1, "We do love to see our heroes making a come back after such terrible injuries. Not to mention He may be Number 2 in our hero rankings but I do believe he was ranked Number 1 in most eligible bachelor!"

"Do tell us both of you, what's it like being at the top of those charts," the announcer said handing the mic first to Hawks.

"Uh well..." Hawks let out an awkward laugh, "I wouldn't really know much about being ranked the most eligible bachelor... other than that I'm not?"

"What do you mean by that? Is there some lucky lady out there Hawks?" The announcer said. (Damn this announcer is nosey and annoying)

"Well I'm not single..." Hawks said awkwardly, "I am gay though, so I don't really know about a lady..."

"What a plot twist?" The announcer said, "so you have a husband? What a lucky man!"

"Oh... no... we're not married," Hawks said, "I mean I'd like to marry him, but uh... I think I'd have to convince him" Hawks let out a nervous chuckle.

"Now who would need convincing to marry that pretty face," the announcer said.

"Isn't this supposed to be about the hero ranking," the number 3 guy said, "not about our dating lives?"

"Oh I must've gotten carried away," the announcer said, "you're absolutely right, back to the questions about you heroes."

The billboard announcement continued  on as usual. Meanwhile back at the Liberation base.

"Dabs are you ok?" Toga said as they both sat in front of the TV watching the Hero Billboard, (they would never admit to anyone that they were watching it.)

"He- I-" Dabi mumbled, "I- uh-"

"Dabi?"

"D-did he really just..." Dabi said.

"Say he wants to marry you?" Toga teased.

"Yeah that... so he did." Dabi said sitting stunned, "I-"

"Aww is someone blushing?" Toga asked.

"S-shut up," Dabi said turning his face away.

"I'll leave you to deal with your feelings," Toga said with a laugh as she got up and went to her room.

Dabi sat there staring at his hands for what felt like forever, when without really thinking much about it got up and went for a walk.

He hadn't been paying attention to where he was going, when he heard someone behind him, "Touya?"

He turned around to see Hawks behind him, "I was just coming back from the Billboard announcement when I saw you."

Dabi didn't say anything but just stared at Hawks, "Are you ok?"
