"Dad," Hitori whined as Shoto walked him into the school building, "you don't have to hold my hand. I'm big now."
Shoto placed a hand on his chin in thought, "hmm. Am I not supposed to hold your hand anymore? I didn't know that."
"I'm four now!" Hitori glared at Shoto, "I don't need someone to hold my hand. I can hold my own hand. Also the other kids might see, I'm already the smallest, I don't want them to think I'm the weakest."
Shoto knelt down in front of Hitori, "I don't think your weak, but you are still small."
Hitori sat down on the ground dragging Shoto down with him, "I'm not small. That's mean daddy!"
"But you are small," Shoto said, "I don't see what's wrong with that? Everyone is small at some point."
"Ughhh," Hitori groaned, "you and mom take everything too literally."
"Hitori, there are kids bigger than you who still get carried by there father," Shoto looked over at Dabi who had been carrying Shinji into the building.
"Gross!" Hitori shouted, "I don't want to be like him. Everyone hates him. He acts like a baby, and he's weird."
"He is your cousin Hitori," Shoto scolded, "You might want to get to know him."
"No thank you," Hitori turned his head away from Shoto, "he tried to steal my name!"
"Todoroki!" A voice called from behind them, "why are you sitting on the ground?"
"Hello Midoriya," Shoto looked up as Bakugo and Deku walked up to him, holding Haru in their arms, "Hello Bakugo."
"What the hell are you doing down there Icyhot?" Bakugo grumbled as he glared down at Shoto.
Haru wiggled out of Bakugo's arms and ran up to Hitori. Haru sat down on the ground and wrapped his arms around Hitori. "I missed you!"
"You saw me yesterday," Hitori tried to sound annoyed, but didn't do a good job at hiding the smile on his face.
"Yeah, but I was stuck at home with these extras," Haru giggled looking up at his parents.
"What did you just call me?" Bakugo shouted, "we can fight right now and see who the real extra is!"
"Kacchan. Stop trying to fight our son," Deku placed a hand on Bakugo's shoulder.
Haru laughed and splayed himself out onto the ground, holding his belly as he did, "Daddy, you're so funny."
"Lets go while they're distracted," Hitori cupped his hand around Haru's ear, as if it would stop their parents from hearing them.
Haru grabbed Hitori's hand and before either of their parents could protest, took off running for the door. Shoto's eyes followed them, until they ran past Dabi and Shinji.
Shoto watched as Dabi was talking to Shinji, who had his teddy bear hugged to his chest. He moved closer trying not to draw attention to himself, so that he could hear what Dabi was saying.
He could only make out a word here or there, but one caught his attention. He had called Shinji "Dove." He wanted sure why this had caught his attention, but the word nagged at his brain, pulling at some forgotten importance.
"Uh Todoroki?" Deku asked, staring at Shoto with his head tilted, "what are you doing?"
"Nothing," Shoto stood up straight and walked away from Dabi. Dabi had noticed Shoto and shot a glare at him as he walked back towards Bakugo and Deku, "actually I think we need to discuss something."
"What's wrong?" Deku asked.
"Somewhere private," Shoto muttered, "its about a case I've been looking into."
