The Next Day

"Good morning husband," Hawks said as Dabi slowly opened his eyes.

"You're sitting on my chest, Hawks," Dabi said with a groan as he fully opened his eyes.

"Indeed I am," Hawks said leaning down and kissing him.

"You're heavy, and I just woke up," Dabi said breaking away from the kiss.

Hawks folded his arms and made a pouty face, "I just want to do something nice for my husband."

"Oh yeah?" Dabi said, "and what's that? Other than crushing me?"

Hawks gave Dabi a smirk and then licked his lips, "something nice."

Dabi reached his hands up placing them on Hawks' sides and pulled him down so  Hawks' ear was next to his mouth before whispering, "Well if you insist, my husband."

Hawks let out a small giggle as he began to kiss Dabi's neck. Slowly moving his lips down each kiss, moving his way down Dabi's chest.

Dabi let out a small moan and layed his head back as Hawks continued to trail soft kisses down his chest. When Dabi suddenly sprang up, accidentally pushing Hawks off the bed.

"Ow," Hawks said, sitting on the floor where he fell, "what the hell?"

"You didn't hear that?" Dabi said, looking around for the sound.

"You mean other than me falling on the floor," Hawks said, "No, Touya. I didn't hear that. Whatever that is."

Dabi got up from the bed and started searching around the hotel room, looking for the source of the sound.

"You look like a crazy person," Hawks said, "wandering around in your boxers like that... but if you come back to bed, I could take them off for you."

"You seriously didn't hear anything," Dabi said still looking around and then stopped dead in his tracks, "Uh... Keigo."

"What?" Hawks said still sitting on the floor and crossing his arms over his chest.

"You might want to come here..." Dabi said, still not moving and just staring at the same spot, "your... weird... egg..."

Hawks eyes went wide and he leapt up, and ran to stand next to Dabi, as they both stared at the egg, that now had a long crack around the middle of it.

"Oh no..." Hawks said, tears forming in his eyes, "what have I done? I broke him." Hawks grabbed onto Dabi burying his face in his chest and began sobbing, "you were right, I should have left him behind where he would be safe. But now... I killed our baby."

Dabi wrapped his arms around Hawks pulling him closer to him, "Shh. You don't know that, maybe your egg is hatching."

"Babies take 9 months, Touya," Hawks sobbed, "I killed him."

Dabi held Hawks close as he continued to sob into his chest, and watched the egg, as slowly tiny pieces started to fall away.

Sitting on the middle of the broken shell, was a tiny baby curled up in a ball with white wings wrapped around their body. Dabi's eyes went wide as he saw the baby for the first time, and forgetting everything else, unwrapped his arms from around Hawks and stepped forward, carefully picking up the baby in front of him.

Hawks looked up with his swollen eyes to see, Dabi standing there holding their baby, that wasn't moving, wasn't crying. Was just there, "Touya... he's supposed to be crying..."

"I know," Dabi whispered.

"Why isn't he crying?" Hawks said, a tightness spreading through his chest, his breathing quickened and he dropped to his knees, "he should be crying. Touya, why isn't he crying?"
