"Stay," Dabi held onto Hawks' hand, pulling him back towards the bed. "Please stay." Dabi was curled up in the blankets, staring up at Hawks with the best puppy dog face that he could manage.
"I have to go to work," Hawks sighed, lacing his fingers with Dabi's. He looked down at him, an apologetic look on his face.
"Screw work," Dabi scowled, pulling Hawks' hand forward so that he fell down on top of him.
Hawks chuckled, pressing his lips against Dabi's. Dabi wrapped his legs around Hawks, trying to prevent him from escaping. "Now you can't leave."
Hawks gave Dabi another quick kiss, and sighed, "I have to. We have bills to pay, and I've got people to save."
"Damn, I guess I just have to be attacked by a villain to get your attention," Dabi crossed his arms over his chest, as Hawks pulled away from his grasp.
"How about this, I go to work," Hawks was met with a glare from his husband, "tonight when I get home. We can go out, do something fun."
Dabi grimaced, "I don't want to go out. We'd also have to get a babysitter and there's no way that I'm leaving Shinji with my family." He said the last word with disgust.
"We could always call Toga," Hawks pursed his lips.
"Ah yes, because that won't be suspicious at all," Dabi rolled his eyes, "It's not like she's an escaped criminal, on the run. You do realize that if she comes over, they might start to question why the villain to supposedly is trying to kill us is at our house. They might also start to wonder exactly how she escaped."
"You have a point," Hawks said, "But she could just transform, they wouldn't have to know that its her."
"Its risky Kei," Dabi shook his head, "Its not worth the risk. Besides, I still don't want to go out."
"I could call Tokoyami," Hawks added, "He wouldn't mind."
"Yeah ok," Dabi sighed, "Ask Tokoyami. I'm sure he would love to spend the night away from his wife and child, just so that he can come babysit, so that we can go out. Which I told you, I don't want to do."
"Touya," Hawks tried to keep the whine from his voice, but Dabi could still hear it, "We haven't been able to go out in years. You're free, I'm free. We can finally go and do something."
"Aw, baby don't pout," Dabi smirked, "I know you want to go out, but right now everything just happened. And just because we're free from the law, doesn't mean that the public is suddenly ok with it all. I just don't have the energy to put up with that right now. But I'll make you a deal, you come home early tonight. I will make you your favorite meal. We'll put Shinji down in front of the TV, and it will be just us, ok?"
Hawks took a deep breath and then sighed, "Ok, I will do my best to come home early tonight."
"No, you will come home early tonight," Dabi smirked, "Or else. You don't want to know what I'll do to you if you don't."
Hawks chuckled and leaned into Dabi to give him one more kiss before leaving, "Ok fine, I will be home early tonight."
"Good, because otherwise I'll have to punish you," Dabi chuckled, smacking Hawks on the ass, as he turned to leave for work.
"Hey, watch your hands there mister," Hawks giggled, "Get up and get our son ready for school, leave my ass alone."
-
Hawks did not come home early. Dabi paced the kitchen, waiting for his husband. His heart sank as the food he had made got cold. Shinji had eaten dinner already and was playing with his toys in the living room, but Dabi had wanted to wait for Hawks.
