"Brrr brrr brrr" Toby flopped onto Tommy's bed.

"Tobes we're never gonna finish anything if you keep playing Minecraft parody songs" Tommy stated pulling out his school books to start studying with.

"Alright, alright" Toby turned off the blaring music on his phone and pulled out his supplies as well. "Today was cool" he sighed.

"Yea, it was" Tommy smiled.

"Dianne was cool, where'd you meet her?" Toby asked flipping through his notebook.

"On the bus," Tommy said simply looking closely through the biology book.

"Oh cool" Toby replied, but since Tommy brought up the bus he was reminded of his original plan today. "Y'know Tommy," Toby sighed and looked over at his friend "I don't think it was the biology teacher that had you confused."

Toby knew that he was probably taking a 50/50 chance when he brought up this subject. No, he didn't want to ruin the night, especially after he and his friend hadn't really gotten one on one time to spend together after Tommy started acting out of the ordinary. But Tommy's well-being meant more to Toby than some quality time.

"What are you on about Tobes?" Tommy looked up from his book at his friend.

"You know what I'm talking about" Toby's tone grew stern. "You've been acting strangely for weeks" Toby pressed.

"Honestly, I don't know what you're talking about" Tommy looked down at his book in a panic trying to put this conversation to a stop. "Did you know that the mitochondria is the powerhouse something?" Tommy tried changing the subject.

"Tommy, stop fucking around. I'm being serious." Toby spoke in a tone that Tommy didn't think was possible for Toby. "You have ditched me at lunch almost every single day for the past two weeks and stuffed yourself in a musty school restroom."

"Toby I-"

"I'm not finished. Then when I go try to look for you because I'm concerned about you, you're not even in the restroom!" Toby's voice rose. "You lied to me! And then when I went to your house last week you were crying in your room and when you got to the door you pretended like that never happened"

Tommy felt horrible. He had never heard Toby sound this angry and sad before. But Tommy really wanted him to stop, at this rate Tommy felt an anxiety attack coming on. His breath started becoming heaving.

"Why aren't you telling me what's wrong? And then this Wilbur guy shows up out of nowhere, and apparently, he knows me but I've never fucking heard of him from you once!" Toby yelled, his face growing red.

"Toby, stop." Tommy said sternly, his leg started bouncing. He really didn't need this right now, this topic had been consuming him for weeks and he didn't want to be confronted about it at all.

"No Tommy, what are you hiding?! You're scaring me and worrying me, you're not yourself! Who the fuck is Wilbur?!" Toby yelled staring straight into Tommy's eyes.

"I SAID STOP!" Tommy's voice overpowered Toby's. Toby was dead silent. Tommy's face was red and his eyes grew tears. "Get out." Tommy spoke softly trying to hold in his tears.

Toby just stood still in shock. Why was his friend doing this? Tommy wasn't ok and Toby as his friend was completely terrified.

"I said get out!" Tommy yelled, tears rolling down his face.

"Fine!" Toby yelled back, snatching his bag from Tommy's bed and quickly walking out of his friend's room. Toby made his way downstairs and stormed out the front door slamming it behind him. He stood there for a moment.

The snow was cold touching his face, Toby took a deep breath and stared out into the darkness. "What the fuck Tom?" He asked the wind.

Toby's emotions were still filled by his anger and his concern growing by the minute. Toby wanted an explanation and he wanted it now, but it looks like retrieving that explanation was going to be harder than he thought it was initially going to be.

The breeze blew onto Wilbur's face and messed up the pages in his book, making him lose his spot. But that didn't phase him at this moment. Across the street were the two friends he had just spent eating ice cream together with just hours ago who seemed to get along perfectly, but now they were in a yelling match.

Wilbur hummed a soft tune. He didn't expect the yelling match that had occurred between those two at all, they were like peas in a pod. Wilbur didn't mean to eavesdrop on the two, but Tommy had left the window open so it was basically his fault, the whole neighborhood probably heard anyway. And it wasn't his fault Tommy's house was so close to his.

He watched Toby walk down the sidewalk as he sipped his warm coffee. Suddenly Toby came to a stop as he spotted Wilbur from across the way sitting there on his porch. Wilbur waved at the boy, trying not to seem like a creep. Wilbur was just about to head in for the night since the casserole he had in the oven was almost done for dinner but Toby had other plans for Wilbur.

"Hey, you!" Toby shouted storming over to Wilbur's house. Wilbur froze in his steps watching the boy approach him. "Who are you?" Toby questioned.

"I'm... me?" Wilbur answered confused as to what the boy was going on about.

"Fuck off. I know you're up to something, and when I find out what it is you're done you piece of shit!" Toby shouted before storming off down the sidewalk. Wilbur genuinely was confused, he wasn't quite sure what he did to piss off the boy. He shrugged his shoulders and walked inside.

"Dinners in the kitchen Wilbur, I'm going out for the night. Bye!" His mom quickly spoke before walking out the door. The woman was always on the phone with some man, Wilbur never knew which one though since his mom never introduced any of them to Wilbur.

"Bye..." He spoke softly watching his mom walk away laughing with whoever she was talking to on the phone. Wilbur was never too close with his much, or least as much as he wanted to be. His mom was almost never home, always out at some party.

He locked the door after his mom drove off. He walked slowly to the kitchen noticing some leftovers from last week's dinner. Wilbur shook his head walking up to his room instead. Slumping on the bed he picked up his phone off his dresser.

Wilbur was lonely as hell. He wanted to text Tommy but he had just gone through a fight with Toby so obviously, he knew he wasn't in the mood to talk. And then the most brilliant idea popped into his head.

Dianne.

That's all he could think of to talk to. Sure, he didn't know her much at all but what better way to get started than with a text? His fingers began typing.

Hey

It's Wilbur
