The bag bounced against his leg as he walked along the concrete, his house coming into view. Once he made it to the porch he set down the plastic bag and slid his beanie off of his head. He ran his fingers through his hair before kneeling down and grabbing the new locks out of the bag.

It was a relief to have finally gotten new locks, no more worrying about troublesome Toby. And it was also nice to add some customization to the house, Wilbur never got to decorate anything, his mother had always hired somebody.

Wilbur then grabbed the screwdriver he had bought and started to get to work on the locks. After a good twenty minutes, the locks were changed. He stood up rolling his neck, he was tired of having to go through this much trouble for something that wasn't Toby's business. He snatched the bag from the floor and crumpled it up in his hand.

"Hey, Wil" A soft voice greeted from behind him. Wilbur knew exactly who it was, but how could have school already ended? Had it really taken that long to go to Toby's house and change locks?

He turned around to face his girlfriend, his serious expression now replaced with a smile. "Hey Di, how was school?"

"It was... eventful" She sighed thinking back to Toby. "How are you feeling?"

"I'm doing much better, rest really helped" He smiled sheepishly.

Dianne looked down to his duffle and the scrunched-up bag he had in his hand. "Rest huh?" She raised an eyebrow. "What's all this?"

"Oh uh," Wilbur looked down at the two bags for a moment before looking back to Dianne with a sigh. "Fine, you caught me. I decided to change the locks today" He explained, his shoulders dropping.

"Wil you're supposed to be resting" She frowned. "C'mon let's get you inside, it's freezing out here."

Wilbur gave in picking up his duffle and opening the door letting the two inside. He let Dianne in first walking in behind her and closing the door. Dianne set her bag on the couch as Wilbur walked into the kitchen to throw out the now useless plastic bag.

"So, eventful?" Wilbur asked, his voice raised a tad so Dianne could hear him from the living room. "Yep" Dianne replied popping the p.

'What happened?" Wilbur questioned, now walking into the living room. "Well," Dianne let out a sigh as she plopped onto the sofa. "Toby broke into Tommy's locker now,"

"What?" Wilbur acted taken aback by the news.

"Yea, and let's just say I wasn't so happy and I sorta threatened him..." She trailed off, her tone low as if she was almost disappointed.

"Threatened him?" Wilbur sat down next to her, one brow raised.

"I mean, kinda..." She looked to the ground. "I was just so mad at him after everything he's put you through, so I just shoved him back into his locker and threatened him to give the keys back..."

Wilbur slipped his arm around Dianne pulling her close, placing his head on top of hers. "It's ok alright? What'd I tell you? I got this all taken care of, I appreciate you trying to help me though, you have no idea" He assured.

"It's just hard standing back and letting him treat you and Tommy like this... They were supposed to be best friends I thought?" She frowned.

"Maybe this is just a way for Toby to show his true colors" Wilbur sighed.

"Maybe so..." She leaned into him. "But it just isn't fair and it doesn't even fucking make sense" Her tone grew frustrated.
