Wilbur was slumped down on the sofa, watching some baking show for some background entertainment as he scrolled on his phone.
After being on social media for so long, he finally remembered why he pulled out his phone in the first place, to text Tommy. Wilbur was curious as to how things went with Toby, it had been several hours since school ended and Tommy hadn't texted Wilbur at all unlike he said he would.
Wilbur clicked onto his messages with Tommy.
Hey Tommy
how did things go?
It was just a few seconds until "seen " was displayed until text. Wilbur could see Tommy was typing.
Not well
He's onto us...
Wilbur blinked a couple of times, his brows furrowed.
Wdym?
I mean, he thinks you're up to something
and he wants to get to the bottom of it
so what do we do?
Wilbur's eyes widened a bit. How could Toby possibly sense something off? Wilbur did everything to hide what he did, including burying his thoughts deep down. Did Tommy hint at what Wilbur did to Toby on accident?
Whatever it was, it didn't matter now. Wilbur had his reputation and future on the line. He had his friend and Dianne on the line. If anyone found out what really happened who knows what the outcome would be. He couldn't let Tommy suffer and he couldn't let Dianne find out about any of this whatsoever.
He tried to think of a solution, but there was no way he could think of one that was actually decent at the moment.

Wilbur wanted to ask Dianne multiple times today. Of course, he had tried that morning, and then he tried to ask during lunch, he even tried asking after school. But each time Wilbur tried he ended up convincing himself with some reason why that moment wasn't the right time.
