It had been a week since the incident, everything around her felt contrasting as to when she first arrived in this house. Her legs were crossed, she sat still as her eyes stared at the foot of her bed. Everything was cold. Nothing was the same anymore, she didn't find warmth in anybody. Not even in her own bed.

She had gone to school every day of the week, went to every class, but there wasn't talking. She couldn't hear anyone talking to her, the words were there but her mind wouldn't take them in. She didn't speak either, only nodding at certain moments. The only thing she heard was her phone chime all day, text after text after text.

All week Tommy had been trying to talk to her, trying to figure out why Dianne had gone so silent. He often would speak to her whenever they had a free period, even though Dianne didn't speak he would still try and make an attempt to help her or understand what was wrong. Dianne felt sorry for him, it wasn't his fault all this happened. It wasn't his fault his friend was a complete psychopath. As for Toby and Clay, she had given them the cold shoulder the whole week. The two would look at her, she knew they were expecting her to say something, but she never even glanced back at the two. No part of her felt like explaining what she had found to those two, because there would be a huge scene over it. And eventually, there would be a huge scene, but Dianne didn't want to go there yet.

Not even one bit of her had expected to find what she did. It still caused an itch in her brain to think about Wilbur in this way. Never in her wildest dreams did she expect him to turn out this way. Half of her was still trying to process this, and the other half wanted to scream in his face because how dare he lie to her. How dare he create a facade and let her sit there for months, how dare he kiss her and make her think that everything was ok.

Wherever Tommy was, soon Wilbur would show up not too long afterward. The two were inseparable, almost always with each other, so that's what made it so hard to stick around Tommy and open up. She feared telling Tommy and having Wilbur walk in on it, or even worse, he wouldn't believe her and be mad at her just like Toby. Tommy was all she had left, and she really didn't want to give him up or lose him through all of this.

Exhaling she stood up, her head turning to look through her window. The sun had gone down, the moon now illuminating the sky. Reluctantly she moved her feet forcing herself to go wash her face.

The knob of the door was cold, Dianne inhaled making her way into the washroom. Turning the knob on the sink she watched the water rush out for a moment. Her hands cupped the water as she leaned down splashing the water onto her face. Exhaling she turned off the sink and grabbed a towel, gently patting her face. Her eyes looked up into the mirror, staring back at herself. Despite the cold water, her face grew hot, tears forming in her eyes.

What the fuck do I do?

"Dianne!" It was her grandma, her loud voice projecting from all the way downstairs. Dianne wiped her tears away and fixed her hair. She then made her way out to the hallway walking towards the stairs. "You have company!"

Company?

Dianne's brows furrowed as she made her way down the stairs. The last thing she was expecting was a visitor, especially at this hour. Finally making it downstairs she turned into the living room, pausing in the doorway. A familiar blonde sat on the sofa shooting a single wave. "Hey" He gave a small smile. Dianne's eyes widened, Tommy was here.

"Thank god you're here, Dianne has been couped up in her room all day. I told her she go out and have fun with her friends since it's a Saturday, but noooo, the haunting of bly manor was more important" Dianne's grandma rolled her eyes jokingly. "Alright, now I won't keep you two, go wild, watch a movie, order a pizza" Her grandma made her way out of the room into the kitchen, the microwave beeping in the distance.

"Uh hey" Dianne spoke softly, she hadn't expected Tommy to show up at her house tonight. "Hey!" His smile grew. "We're on speaking terms now," He stood up walking over to her and embracing her in a gentle hug. Dianne giggled softly returning the hug. The two pulled back after a few moments. "Should we go up to my room? My grandma is kinda loud down here, never a dull moment" Dianne explained. "Yea yea, sure" Tommy agreed, his smile never faltering.

They made their way upstairs and in a few moments, they arrived in Dianne's room. "I don't think I've ever seen your room before" Tommy spoke looking around at everything. "Sorry for the mess" Dianne took a seat on the bed, patting the spot next to her. "Nah, you should see my room, this is way better than mine" Tommy chuckled taking a seat next to Dianne.

"So what brings you here?" She tilted her head. "Well, one I was bored, and two, I thought you could use the company" He spoke, his tone filled with the familiar concern she had heard all week. "Thanks Tommy," She sighed, her tone sincere. "It means a lot, since you know, you chose me over your best friend "

"Friends are here for friends no matter what, you are no exception" He placed his hand on his heart dramatically. "And actually, I wanted to talk to you about that."

Dianne set her head on her hand. "Hm?"

"He's been really distraught you know, without you... he's afraid he's going to lose you" Tommy's smile faded into a frown. "He wants to help, but he's sure you don't want to talk to him. Says you guys haven't been on speaking terms. I know you weren't really talking to me either but- He said whenever he came around you left. Are you mad at him?" Tommy questioned, his tone low.

Was she mad at him? She was fucking furious, and completely heartbroken. She didn't respond to the question, silence filling the room. "Look, Dianne, whatever it is that happened between you two, it can be fi-"

"No Tommy." She quickly cut him off, her tone stern. Tommy's eyes widened as well as hers, both surprised at her sudden tone change. "I- It's just... something...I..." She trailed off, not sure if even wanted to go there at the moment. Tommy just stared at her in confusion and disbelief. "Well... if you're gonna break things off with him, just do it quick ok...? It's hard seeing him suffer like this... He really loves you y'know..." Tommy trailed off with a frown. Dianne exhaled, brushing her hair back and fixing her posture.

"Why don't we watch more of that show your grandma was saying you liked? What was it again?" Tommy itched the back of his neck trying to change the topic. "The haunting fly manor?"

Dianne shook her head holding back a laugh. "The haunting of bly manor" She corrected with a slight smile.

"Yes! That one" Tommy smiled leaning back onto the pillows.

"Sounds great" She nodded.
