Wilbur stared at himself in the mirror, he had never seen his face this read before. Quickly he dried off and put on some sweatpants and a sweatshirt, his hair still dripping here and there. He took the towel and rubbed it quickly all over his head, a couple of water drops splashing onto the mirror.

What is she doing here?

It's not that Wilbur didn't want Dianne to be here, he just wouldn't have walked out of the washroom in just a towel if he did know she was here. He hung his towel up and opened the door. Dianne was still facing the wall, muttering words Wilbur couldn't make out.

"Uh hey" He scratched the side of his neck. "I'm terribly sorry about that, if I'd known you were here I wouldn't have-"

"No no, don't apologize, I shouldn't have been up here" Dianne spoke quickly. "You see, your mum said you weren't here and told me to make myself at home and wait for you to get here but then your house was so nice and I just was admiring it and I shouldn't have gone up the stairs I'm so sorry" She rambled out all in one breath.

Wilbur blinked at her for a moment taking everything in before shaking his head "Wait wait, my mum said I wasn't here?" He tilted his head.

"Yea, she said you weren't here and you'd be back soon..." Dianne trailed off.

Wilbur let out a sigh. "Ah, typical. Don't mind her, she doesn't pay much attention to anyone but herself."

The two stood in silence before Dianne all of a sudden remembered. "Oh! I left your Christmas gift downstairs- That was the whole reason I came here" She quickly turned on her heel and dashed down the stairs before Wilbur could say anything.

Christmas gift? How thoughtful of her

Wilbur smiled to himself, but then it was soon replaced with the realization he hadn't gotten her one. Just great, he didn't get her a gift and all he had managed to do was almost flash her.

Dianne's footsteps were soon heard again and was now seen holding a small bag in her hand. She walked over to him and handed him the bag. "It's not much but I really wanted to get something that resembled our friendship and whatnot" She smiled warmly.

"Thank you so much Dianne" Wilbur smiled at her softly, his heart really did flutter it seemed. "May I open it?"

"Of course!" Dianne nodded.

Wilbur took the tissue out of the bag and reached inside. He pulled out a small box, it was red with a small white bow on the top. Opening the box, he found something he wasn't expecting. He lifted up a dainty bracelet, it was just a plain chain with the initial D in silver attached to it.

"I know it's not that great I just-" She lifted up her wrist to show a matching bracelet with a W. "I got us matching ones you know, I'm sorry it's just, when I went shopping I was searching for the perfect gift and there was nothing but then I found this and I figured it was-"

"Diane, please" Wilbur interrupted. "It's perfect, I love it" His smile only grew by the second. "You do?" She asked, her expression hopeful.

"Are you kidding? Of course, I do! I've never received a gift this thoughtful in my entire life." He took the bracelet and clasped it around his wrist. "And it's matching, I mean how much better could it get?"

"I'm glad you like it" She bit her lip, placing her hands behind her back. She was then struck with the sudden realization and what time it was and how long she must have been there. "Oh my god, what time is it?" Her eyes widened.

"Uh it's probably almost 6?" Wilbur raised one of his eyebrows confused. "Oh no..." She raced down the stairs. "Dianne, wait!" Wilbur followed her confused.
