4. Mean Princess

Louisa's p.o.v

I continued to glide on the rug before using it like a parachute and gliding into a different alleyway that was a bit far from those guards. Smiling softly I fist bump Kitty as she makes a few happy noises, then I grab out the bread. Easily I half it and say "and now my cute, little, friend - we feast!" I hand her one half as I smile at mine. As I go to take a bite though I see two children, younger than me digging through the trash. I take the bread away from my mouth as I look at them, they look at me scared when they noticed my stare.

Their clothes are just as dirtied as mine as they stay near the other, so I look back at my half of bread before looking at Kitty. She noticed the children too, then she noticed me before glaring at me and taking a bite of her half. 'Well, someone's gotta look out for them' I think and look back at my bread with a smile and sigh a little. Standing up I walk towards the two, the older one holds the younger one protectively. I hold out my half saying "here... go on, take it" the older sibling smiles before giggling.

I rub her head a bit before walking out of the alley and towards the sidewalk, there's people gathered around for some reason. Kitty got onto my shoulder as I barely got a glimpse from around the two big guys in the way. There's a girl in a limo heading towards the castle, she has her window rolled down as the limo drives slowly. "Probably on her way towards the palace" one of the guys say to the one standing next to him. I nod in understanding as the other responds with "another suitor for that prince."

My eyes widen as I felt someone push past my legs, so I look down to see those two children- the younger one running out to the road. Though the younger one ran into the limo on accident and rubs his face to get the pain away. The girl within the limo glares at the children as she steps out for a second and looks at the limo. 'Oh, she can't be more concerned about the ride than for that kid' I think annoyed at the sight. She glares at the kids saying "you scuffed the paint, you filthy brats!" She was about to slap one of them.

Quickly I run over and caught her wrist while glaring at her "hey! If I were as rich as you, I'd afford some manners" I say angrily. With that I let go of her wrist and she pulled her arm back while rubbing her wrist softly. She scoffs while glaring at me "I'll teach you some manners" she says before shoving me back. I grunt as I felt my elbow bleeding, holding it up I hiss in pain at the stinging sensation that starts up. The crowd around me starts laughing as Kitty looks at me worriedly, so I glare up at that girl.

She got into the limo as I say "look at that, Kitty - it's not everyday you see a clown without its makeup!" The girl glares back at me. Then she huffed before saying "you are a worthless street rat, you were born a street rat. You'll die a street rat, only your fleas will mourn you" with that she starts rolling up her window. I went to punch her, but the window was all the way up as all I did was hurt my knuckles. Taking a step back I watch as the limo rolls up into the castle, then the gates close as I stand here.

I glare at that gate and say "I'm not worthless... and I don't have fleas" I cross my arms at that last part before sighing sadly. Looking at Kitty as she's on my shoulder I say "come on, Kitty... let's go home" she sits comfortably on my shoulder. With that I start walking the long walk to get back to the abandoned building that no one bothers to go in. I kind of convinced everyone that it's haunted, so they don't even tear it down in fear of being haunted. The entire walk back I kept my head down and think over all the names they called me.

-later that night-

"'Riff raff'.. 'street rat'..
I don't buy that" I sing as I get to the fire escape of the abandoned building that's getting close to falling apart.
"If only they'd look closer.. would they see a poor girl? No siree" I sing as we get to the one part of the room that has a balcony.

The doors fell off its hinges, so there's a big draft, but there's blankets and pillows all by it that I found in random rooms. Not to mention I put a bar up so I have a curtain to block out sunlight when its morning. Kitty straightens out her little vest before fluffing out her pillow, so I chuckle a bit at her.
"They'd find out~.. there's so much more to me~~" I sing softly while tucking her in, then I open the curtain and look at the castle.

The lights making it look so pretty within the darkness of the city, so I smile saying "someday, Kitty.. things are gonna change. We'll be rich, live in a castle... and never have any problems at all" she was quiet though. Looking down at her I see she's already asleep though, so I smile softly and close the curtain. Getting comfy myself I sigh as I start to calm myself into sleep...

No one's p.o.v

-the next day (in the castle)-

Yoshi held his hands behind his back while trying to hear if his son and that girl are getting along, but the sound of stomping feet got his attention. "I've never been so assaulted!" She yells angrily as she stomps towards the entrance of the castle. Yoshi looks forward at the retreating girl "why are you leaving so soon?" He asks as he then noticed the hole. There's a bite sized hole on the girl's pants, showing off her pink lacey panties as she's still stomping away. "Good luck marrying him off!" She says angrily as she continued to walk away, so Yoshi sighs.
