6. An Apple

No one's p.o.v

Karai was waiting in that room like always as she says "and I will be next in command instead of it being that idiot, Donatello." The two then laugh, but outside of the castle Donatello with a baggie cloak hanging over his shoulders. Chompy was tiredly following behind him, along with two others who were secretly following. Donatello got to the wall and breathes in and out "this is it, Chompy... thanks for the lift." Before he could start climbing onto Chompy he noticed the two others and flinched scared.

Then he noticed it was just his brothers, so he sighs softly "you can't just leave us, bro" Michelangelo says while moving his hood. Raphael moves his hood too saying "yeah, man - you're just gonna abandon us?" Donatello sighs. "Guys, I just can't live here and have my life planned out for me.. you have to understand." Donatello's words got his brothers to share a look before looking back at Donatello and putting their hoods back up. He smiles and says "thank you-" "alright, then we're coming with you, dude" Michelangelo interrupted.

Donatello's eyes widen "I can't have you both come with me, everyone would know-" "not if we say we're just random mutants, brother. Michelangelo can think of names along the way, let's go" Raphael says and clicks his tongue twice. Chompy put his front legs on the wall as he stood tall for the three to climb up and over the wall. "Did you plan this?" Michelangelo asks Raphael as Donatello starts climbing up Chompy. Raphael then says "I always thought we'd do this eventually" with that Michelangelo was next to go up.

Raphael looks at Chompy saying "I'm sorry, Chompy Picasso... but you'll at least be treated like the royalty you are here." Chompy whimpered a bit before he helped Raphael up the wall, so with that the three walk around town. The three walk around all day, but Louisa was already on her morning routine with Kitty.

Louisa's p.o.v

-the next day-

I walk around on that little ledge that's always above the stands that people decide to have on the sidewalk. "Alright, Kitty - go!" I whisper to her, so she used her tail and starts to act like she's trying to steal. With a smirk I hang on with the tips of my toes before grabbing a melon, the guy was distracted by Kitty. Easily I pull myself back up and go towards the rooftop, sighing softly I break it in half and hear the guy being angered. Kitty got up here a second later and smiles at me, so I hold out her half saying "breakfast's served, Kitty."

She smiled and took the melon, we start eating, but it didn't really take us long to finish it as she gets on my shoulder and I go down into an alley. "Let's plan our lunch now" I whisper to Kitty and scratch under her chin, she coos happily. Though before I go out I see three boys- one of them looks really cute, so I gasp and hide in the shadows. He looks so nice personality wise as he talks to some random guy trying to earn money by doing tricks. He put his hood up as I stand here, but a hand being waved in front of me got my attention.

Looking back on my shoulder I see Kitty right there as she's raising an eyebrow at me, so I nervously chuckle "sorry, Kitty. I got sidetracked" she crossed her arms as I just look back at those boys that are still walking. The one that got my attention sees a little boy trying to reach for an apple from an apple stand. "Oh, you must be hungry" he says while looking at him, the little boy nodded which made the guy grab an apple. 'Hopefully the stand guy didn't notice that' I think to myself as I continue to watch this.

The guy was about to walk away when the guy running the stand says "you better be able to pay for that" the shortest one of the group looks ticked off. "'Pay'?-" he got cut off as the stand guy grabs the one that got my attention by the wrist. "No one steals from my stand!" He says angrily, so the guy says "I'm sorry, sir - I don't have any money." A childish looking one that's with the guy says "yeah, but we can get right back to you if you let us, dude." The stand guy wasn't having it- "thief!" He yells out while pulling the guy by his wrist.

My eyes widen at the sight of this "i-if you let me go, I can get some money at the castle!.." the guy says looking a bit scared. "Yeah, from the king!" The childish one says while trying to pry the stand guy's grip loose. The stand guy then grabs out a big butcher knife "you'll pay for the penalty of stealing." He lifts up the butcher knife as I whisper "we have to help them, Kitty!" She shakes her head while crossing her arms. She doesn't look at the group, so I huff and set her down on the ground saying "fine, then wait here."

"No! No, please!" The guy begs as I finally step in at the right moment saying "thank you, kind sir - I'm so glad you found him" I say and take the knife. I throw it in his stand as I look up at the guy who took the apple to begin with and snap my fingers in front of his face. "Snap out of it, I've been looking everywhere for you" I say as I grab his arm and pull him away a little. The one my height looks at me confused "what're ya doing?" He whisper asks me as I do this. I give them a look whispering "just trust me, play along-" "you know these guys?" He asks me.

A hand was on my shoulder as he asked that, so I look up at him saying "ah, yes.. sadly, this is my step-brother; he's a little crazy." I was grabbed by my shirt as he lifts me up "he says he knows the king!" I chuckle at this. "Please, sometimes he can't even tell the difference from boys and girls" I say while waving this guy off. He set me back down and Kitty comes back as she sits on my shoulder, so I motion to her. "He thinks my monkey is the king, and she's a girl" I whisper the last part which got Kitty snicker.
