17. Promise

Louisa's p.o.v

They both had their smirks still as it looked like they were about to come back with a comment, but they realized I was right. That I duped them into getting me out of that cave and back into the real world out here. "Oh, I feel sheepish" Leonardo says before making himself look like an actual sheep in front of me. He glares up at me saying "alright, you baaaaad girl" he bleated that a bit since- well, he's a goat/sheep. April then crossed her own arms saying "but no more freebies" I shrug a bit saying "fair enough."

I start walking forward a bit while tapping my chin in thought saying "so... three wishes, I want them to be good" then I look back at the two. "What would you wish for?" I ask a bit curious, just so I could get an idea of what I could wish. They could have good ideas since they could already have just about anything- what would be the one thing they'd want. They share a look before looking at me saying "us?.." they drop down and sit where they stood. "No one's ever asked that before" Leonardo says with a hand to his chin as they both stared down in thought.

April smiles softly saying "well, in that case... ah, forget it" I look at her saying "what!?" They both stood up as I walk towards them. Leonardo shakes his head a bit saying "no no no, we can't-" "come on! Just tell me." They both look at me before saying "freedom" I look at the lamp in my hand before looking at them. "You're prisoners?" I ask confused to see if I got their story right 'that's pretty messed up.' "It's all part-and-parcel, the whole genie gig" April says while moving her bangs a bit.

Leonardo grew big before saying "phenomenal cosmic powers!!" They both shrink as they go into the lamp- I almost dropped it from that. Though I look at the lamp confused before Kitty lifts up the lid of it to show the two inside. They're elbowing the other a bit to make more room as their voices are a bit squeaky from being this small. "In an itty-bitty living space" they say as they kept shoving the other, so I sigh softly saying "wow, that's terrible." The two sprout back out of the lamp before smiling a bit and April says "but oh, to be free."

Then they both roll their eyes as Leonardo says "and not have to go - poof, what do you need?" He acted as if he poofed up in front of me. April does the same thing, then they both do it as they both have a hand on my shoulder. "To be our own masters..." Leonardo says a bit happily at the thought alone before chuckling. "Such a thing would be greater than all the magic and all the world!" Leonardo says while growing a bit with a big smile. April snapped her fingers and Leonardo is back to his normal size by April's side.

She sighs saying "let's get real here, it's not gonna happen - just wake up and smell the flowers" they both sit down again while looking sad. "You're right, April..." Leonardo trailed off a bit, so I ask "why not??" 'I mean, you're both powerful. You're capable of anything-' Leonardo chuckles while shaking his head a bit at the question. "The only way I-" "we" April interrupted him and elbows him, so Leonardo playfully rolled his eyes. "The only way we get out of this is if our master wishes us out" Leonardo finally explained with a bit of a smile.

April looks to the side saying "you can guess how often that's happened..." I smile saying "I'll do it, I'll set ya free" the two were annoyed. "Uh huh, right" April says annoyed as Leonardo's head turns into some weird puppet looking one. The nose grew out though causing my eyes to widen before he looks at me, I easily push the nose back though. Once his nose was back where it should be his head turns back to normal as he raised an eye-ridge at me. I chuckle a bit saying "no, really - I promise you both, after I make the first two wishes.. the third will be for you two."

I held my hands out for them to shake, Leonardo was the first to accept my hand as April says "well, here's hoping" then she accepts my hand. We shook hands, then Leonardo says "let's make some magic!!" He looked like some type of magician saying this. This got me to chuckle a bit before April stands by my side saying "so... what do ya want most?" I smile. I twirl some of my hair around my finger saying "wellll.. there's this guy" Kitty scoffs at this. She hit the side of my head softly getting me to playfully roll my eyes at her reaction to my words.

Leonardo on the other hand says "nope! We can't make anybody fall in love, remember?" I adjust my glasses with my smile. I hand him Kitty as I walk away a bit saying "but, guys... he's smart a-and fun! And..." I was trying to think on words. "Pretty?" April asks as she has a hand on my shoulder, so I smile and lean back a bit into her hold. She barely keeps me up as I look up at the sky saying "handsome! He's got these eyes- and the gap in his teeth. Just that smile!!" I sigh lovingly after that and April makes me stand up as Leonardo shakes his head softly.

He sets Kitty back on my shoulder saying "ami - c'est l'amour" I look at him to see he has a barrett on, so I chuckle a bit. Then memories hit as I say "but he's the prince... to even have a chance, I'd have to be-" an idea came just like that. I smile big again as I say "can you two make me a princess?" April floats off in front of me by Leonardo's side. She has a yellow book in hand, on the cover it says that it's a rule book- so that gave me the idea. They look through it a bit to see if there's anything against the rules for me to be a princess.
