8. "they're after me!"

Louisa's p.o.v

Judging from their outfits I thought they felt just as I did at one point - that I'd never get that far in life, but I have a dream that I will. I continue smiling as I put some of my hair behind my ear "I wonder what it'd be like to live there. Have servants, not to have to worry about food" I say as Kitty nods and takes a bite of her apple. She didn't drop any of the ones she stole, so we have about one for all of us right now. "Can I have one of those apples? Please?" Mikey asks, so I smile and set it on my shoulder.

"If ya know how to catch" I tease, that confused him as I just let the apple roll down my shoulder and fly up when I lifted up my arm. It went in the air after it rolled down my arm and to my elbow, so Mikey's eyes widened. He caught it though as he says "thanks, dudette" then he starts eating it, so Raph hummed in thought. I watch as he tried to do the same thing, but ended up almost hitting Kitty, I caught it and she starts complaining at him. He lifts his hands up in defense as both Mikey and I laugh at the sight of Kitty telling Raph off in her monkey talk.

Donnie on the other hand just sounds annoyed as he says "sure - and people who tell you where to go and how to dress" I smile at that. Grabbing an apple I say "it's better than here" I whistle to get his attention, so he looks at me. I do the same trick and he barely caught it since he was shocked by the little trick, so I chuckle. Then I say "worried about random animals, about getting too cold... worried for someone always going after you." I was still trying to think on everything wrong here that could go right within those castle walls.

Though Donnie just says "you're free to make your own choices" he stands up as both Raph and Mikey are raising a bit of an eye-ridge. "Sometimes you just feel so..." I try to think on the right word, Donnie then says "you're just.." he was thinking too. I finally got the word as I lift up my glasses and rest my head in my hand "trapped" we both finish. My eyes widen as I look at him to see that he's looking right back at me, I nervously smile while putting my glasses back down. "Where are you guys from anyways?" I ask to try and change the subject so I wouldn't be just gushing over Donnie.

Raph rolls his eyes softly saying "what's it matter?.. we ran away and we're probably never going back" I take a bite of my apple. "How come?" I ask after I got done chewing the bite, so Donnie looks down a bit sadly. He wasn't speaking up which made Mikey say "our father was forcing Donnie to get married." Donnie glares at Mikey, but I look forward saying "that's awful..." Donnie takes a bite of his apple while nodding. Kitty chittered a bit, so I look to see that she already ate her apple and she was giving me the baby-doll eyes.

I look at my apple and sigh as I hold it out to her, she looks at the apple and smiles as she accepts it, so Raph slightly nudged me. "You're probably just as hungry as her, why give up the food?" He asks me, so I look down. That one's easy to answer "we work together for food, I'm used to being hungry while Kitty isn't as used to it. I can't handle knowing she could be in pain, so I hand over the food when I know I'm okay." Mikey's eyes are a bit teary as he holds out the apple saying "here, we just only left home today - you can have it."

Hesitantly I accept it and say "thanks..." Kitty starts chittering a bit, so Donnie looks back at her a bit confused as he eats the apple. "Do you ever understand what she's saying?" He asks, so I think on that before I smile. I look at him saying "she's just saying how unfair that is" "she did?!" Mikey asks happily shocked. "She did, huh?" Raph asks with a smirk while crossing his arms, Kitty just chitters a bit. 'I know that's not what you said, don't embarrass me here, Kitty-' "of course" I say and lean against a wall.

Donnie gives me a bit of a playful smile 'okay, he probably already knows-' "does Kitty have anything else to add on?" He asks me. Kitty chitters a bit, so I chuckle saying "she wishes there's something she can do to help." Kitty chuckles a bit, but Donnie walks over to me and caressed the side of my face a bit. "Tell her that's very.. sweet" Donnie says as it feels like we're so close... I start leaning in out of instinct. Though a voice interrupted us and made us flinch away from the other "there ya are!" Fishface's voice rang out.

My eyes widen at this "they're after me!" We all yell out, so I was a bit confused at that as we all share a quick look. "They're after you?" We all ask a bit shocked, so I pull Donnie and Mikey near the big hole in the wall. Raph was already standing there as I look down at the escape plan I have there for in case this happened. "Father must've sent them to-" I interrupt Raph as I look at them "do you trust me?" Kitty gets on my shoulder. Both Mikey and Donnie say "yes!" We all look at Raph "what?!" He asks a bit skeptically 'not now, ya dummy.'

"Do you trust me?!" I ask while holding out my hand, so he hesitantly grabs it "yes?" He asks more than says, so I motion to Mikey. He grabs his hand as I grab Donnie's saying "then we jump!" Raph's screaming as we fall. Kitty hangs onto my shirt for dear life as we go down, we went through the thin sheet and onto the soft pile of dirt. I barely get Raph and Donnie standing as I lead them the way out- but I felt grabbed by my throat. The grip was a bit too tight as I cough and start kicking my feet in the air and I let go of their hands.
