25. Patch up?!

Adnan Rushi didn't know about this part of her story where her parents were forcing her into a relationship.

Adnan couldn't stay angry at her anymore, not because he accepted her apologies but because he couldn't see her shatter more by reminiscing about all those days again!

Rushi on the other end had softened seeing her almost on the verge of crying but still keeping herself together and not showing how everything was affecting her.

Adnan shifts closer to Advika and gently places his arm around her, as she looks at him with teary eyes, he completely gave in and didn't stop himself from hugging her.

She snuggled closer to him and let out all the tears she had been holding back. The three of them sat in silence for a few moments. Adnan didn't let her move away from his embrace nor did she wanted to. She had felt this familiar feeling, this warm hug after so many years!

Rushi gets up from his place amd gets Advika a glass of water and kneels in front of the couch where she was sitting. Adnan lets her go and she looks at Rushi.

"Take this", Rushi said lovingly.

"Rushi I-", Advika tried to say something but Rushi cut her in between.

"Shhhh....what you did was wrong. You should have trusted us. We would have been angry at you, shouted at you, wouldn't have talked to you for a few days or a week maximum but we wouldn't have left you alone for sure! You know this even today that we won't stand you being in tears, or else you wouldn't have been here today.",  listening to Rushi's words Advika felt more at peace and he eyes gave way to more tears rolling down her face.

"Whatever was done was worng but all of us have faced it's consequences for 5 years now! I don't want that for any of us anymore! I don't want you to go through anything alone now!", Saying this Rushi cupped her cheeks in both his hands and lovingly kissed her forehead, Advika didn't waste even a second to hug him after that.
Adnan was happy that Rushi wasn't angry at her anymore.

"I had told you Rushi you won't stay mad at her anymore if you meet her, see I was right", saying this Adnan placed his elbow on Advika shoulder and smiles his widest at Rushi.

Advika finally smiles through her tears. She finally felt so relieved, she felt real around them.

Rushi laughed at her and sat crossing his legs in front of her and said, "You really are a total crackhead girl!! I never thought you of all people would run away! The girl who would scare the shit out of people just by one look, SHE ran away", Rushi slaps his forehead and laughs harder at Advika.

"I know right, I mean I only knew the Advika would would fuck up people for miss behaving with us, I never thought she would run away from us only", Adnan joined Rushi in roasting Advika and laughing at her.

"Guys I so hate you yaar", Advika whined.

"Dude I am serious", Adnan said and then looked at Rushi and continued, "Rushi you remember how Advika had silently took care of the girl from your batch who was behind Vishal"

"Oh fuck yes, that girl never even crossed paths with us after that, even Vishal was wondering how suddenly she left him to be at peace", Rushi agreed with Adnan and started laughing again at their memories.

"Oh wait , bhai Vishal, we left from there and didn't even tell him", Adnan realised.

Advika's face fell again at the mention of Vishal.

Rushi quickly goes to the bedroom to make a call to Vishal's dad. Vishal's dad told him that he would be staying with him at night and the next morning he might be discharged.
When Vishal's dad enquired about Advika he told them that she was with them and that Vishal didn't know anything and requested his dad to not tell him anything, they would tell him everything themselves.

When Rushi came back to the living room Adnan and Advika were casually talking.

"Do you even have the slightest idea how many calls and texts did I leave for you, I even mailed you yaar!", Adnan said to her

"I know Addy", she replied looking down and fidgeting with her fingers.

"You didn't even reply to a single message, I couldn't understand whether they even reached to you or not.", Adnan said genuinely worried.

"I had read everything! That's why I decided it would be better if I leave, even destiny didn't want us to be together anymore."
