V I S H A L
Everyone was busy with the preparations. I was currently on 'keeping an eye on babies' duty since the past 30 minutes.
Even though there was hustle in the house, everyone was careful to not make much noise which would disturb the babies.
The last 12 days with our babies have been a little up and down with me being on shoot, Rushi, Adnan and Mansi being busy with their jobs, Advika was with the kids for most of the time.
As much as I hated not being with my babies I had to finish work. This was the biggest project of my life on which I was currently working.
A flim with them would give a drastic hype to my career. Soon after we found out about the pregnancy, I was offered this flim and was shooting for it from the past 3 months. Just the news of our babies had brought us great fortune! After the wrap up of this project I vowed to stay at home for atleast a month with my babies and their mom.
Though Advika was never alone in the house with the kids she still craved for my presence around, that's what she had told me.
It wasn't even a fortnight since they were born but it felt like I have known them for years! They were always a part of us and now they are among us! This feeling was beautiful.
Being around them was so peaceful except for the times when they decided to cry.... together!
We have been trying to figure out their patterns for the past few days and from that we found that our baby girl didn't like sleeping in the night. She was the sole reason for Advika's dark circles getting darker. While our baby boy would enjoy a nice 10 hours sleep every night! When he would be awake in the morning the baby girl would sleep peacefully.
Whenever Advika and I sit to talk to them at night both of them react to us by either laughing or kicking or pulling our hair. It was like they knew their parents. We already had a connection since they were in their mother's womb and know I realise why Advika used to make me talk to them when she was pregnant.
Advika right now was in the kitchen preparing food for the guests. She feed both the babies and put them to sleep and since then I am sitting here doing nothing but thinking about how the past 12 days already feel like months!
"Hey...", Advika softly entered the room.
"Done with the work?", I asked her.
"Yes it almost done so Mom sent me to get ready and also get the babies ready", she said peeping into the cradle checking upon them.
"I hope they don't end up being a crying mess during the ceremony, I am so not ready to handle their cries during it!", she said sitting on the bed beside me. I put my arm around her and gently pulled her closer. She rested her head on my shoulder and closed her eyes.
"What happened?", I asked with concern.
"Nothing...I just....I don't know!"
"Are you tired?", I ask.
"Hmm kind of. I haven't even slept at night properly", she whined her eyes still closed.
"I am sorry Advii, I know I am not around much to take care of them and you but -"
"Vishal...we have talked this through baby, you concentrate on your shoot for now, it's okay I am at home only, I am fine", she assured me but still I wanted to take over the night shift so that she could sleep properly.
I can stay awake the whole night but Advika cannot. It would take a toll on her health if this goes on. She is stubborn so she doesn't even let Mom or dad or anyone stay awake for the night so that she could sleep.
