15. Personal unpaid caretakers

Rushi came and checked my body temperature. I knew they cared for me very much but this was not an everyday thing that I would be used to it right! I felt like a burden to make them worry like this.

"I am fine dude, I don't have fever"

"Yeah but you look very bad so I did it for my satisfaction okay", Rushi said to me annoyed a little with my behaviour.

I laugh at him and said "baap mat ban mera (don't try to be my father)"

"Beta main hoon hi tera baap samjha na (Child, I am already your dad you get it?!)", Rushi said messing up with my hair.

"Oh boy decide first, are you gonna be my father or my husband", I said pushing Rushi away so that he doesn't mess anymore with my hair.

All three of us are 'straight' but we are crazy that's the only reason why Rushi is considered my husband and Adnan ...well you will know that further!

"Even while being so sick you want to joke around", Rushi said faking his surprise.

"Overactor", I thought slapping my head.

"Why are you stressing so much merijaan, I'll be fine! Hey where's my habibi (lover)?", I asked him as Adnan wasn't around for quite some time now and he would surely won't miss this fun.

"He went to get food for your sick ass"

"Oh yeah as if you are gonna stay hungry right", I laughed at the thought of Rushi staying hungry for no reason, he probably loved food more than us.

"But why did he go to get the food, weren't they giving home delivery?!", I asked him.

"Mine and Adnan's food is coming home, he went to get yours"

"I would have eaten what you all are eating what's the big deal", I said casually.

"No one asked you", he spat back at me.

"Okay fuck off then", I spat back at him.

This was our daily normal day. Without fighting over the dumbest of reasons our day would never be completed. We kept bickering over nonsense while Adnan came back with the food and both of them sat beside the bed with me to eat. Half way through our dinner Adnan asked me, "How are you feeling now that you have eaten a bit? Do you still feel like vomiting?"

"Yeah I don't think it's something really bad, I'll sleep for a while and I'll be fine I guess", I told them this so that they won't sit worrying about me the whole night but I surely wasn't feeling any good rather it was getting worse. I did feel like puking out my intestines still.

"Should we take an appointment of the doctor for tomorrow?", Rushi asked looking at me.

"guys chill *coughs* I don't think that would be needed."

"If you feel worse tell us we would head to the hospital in the middle of the night", Adnan said worried but I hated the worries on their faces which were for me.

"Ugh why you guys going all parents on me. I didn't tell my parents just because of this and look what's happening here!", I said jokingly on which they gave me death glares.

Okay, maybe that was a bad idea

"By the way Adnan, I am not gonna forgive you for making me eat this plain khichdi while you are eating all spicy masaledar food in front of me.", I said pouting and making a sad and bad face.

"Not my fault baby, you decided to fall sick", Adnan said teasing me.

"Fuck you asshole", I slapped the back of his head causing him to jerk.

As we finish our food, I wanted to stay up for some time but Rushi Adnan made me go to sleep immediately and even I didn't realise when sleep engulfed me!
