A D V I K A J O S H I
After the shower I came and layed back on my bed thinking about the day I had. Mansi was no where to be seen in the room. I still had so much to talk to Rushi, Adnan and Vishal. I could never get tired talking to them and if we are together we never would run out of topics to talk about.
I remember everything crystal clear, our study sessions, our lunch times, cultural events, our flirting, our mid night long drives, our endless banters and our infinite love an care for each other. More than friends we have been the missing pieces of each other.
Who said soulmates are just the ones who have romantic relationships, get married and live together, we could prove it to the world that we four were...and I hope still are the inseperable soulmates!
Somewhere in my heart I knew we would be back to being what we were before but Vishal was a bit different, he was very far away from me. He didn't even know who I was and what kind of a strong bond we shared, sometimes I hate myself for the decision I took!
"Advika!?"
"Huh?", I quickly sat up and saw Mansi standing with a plate of food.
I had totally forgotten to be honest that I didn't have my dinner!
"In whose thoughts?", Mansi had decided to tease me the whole time it seemed.
"Yaar Advika get married na, it would be so beautiful to watch you get married, I would help do everything, the shopping, the decorations, and all of the preparations, and also there would be some hot guys to check out in the wedding, don't forget to call those London wale friends of yours ha!", Mansi said the last part winking.
"Oh woman you want me to get married for this? Seriously why are you pushing me to hang myself", I said focusing on the food.
"You're such a buzzkiller"
"Yeah that I am, but if you're in such a hurry then get married yourself, I don't mind to be bachelor in my little sisters wedding", I said ruffling her hair with my other hand
No matter how much immature and childish Mansi seemed and behave, I knew better, she was the only one in my whole family whom I could trust with every small detail of my life but of course that had its own consequences.
Mansi never let go a single chance to tease, irritate or annoy me which reminded me that she was my sister!
Mansi was very soft hearted unlike me who could be a complete bitch if needed, she was always very sweet spoken and handled situations calmly.
She always was the one to find peace in heated moments and calm everyone around her. Sometimes I really wished I was like her but her life was good, infact very good compared to mine, her parents were very attentive and loving towards her in her childhood which I envied the most!
I couldn't have survived what I survived if I was soft like her, or maybe I was like her, but my life made me a stone which wouldn't break easily.
"Don't think about it Advika right now, you know uncle aunty, they will not stop behaving like this until you get hitched. Why are you wasting your energy here when you know it won't turn out to be anything good, you don't need to get hurt again in this Advika!", Mansi said giving me a foot massage which I didn't object
"Hmm, don't worry I have come back stronger this time, I want to get what I wanted and deserved and I will take", I said not to her but mostly to myself
"Good now tell me where were you for so long?", Mansi asked curiously
"I had gone to meet Vishal with Rohit..."
