A D V I K A J O S H I
I didn't want to wake up to more problems and more mess today! I hope I get to enjoy my Sunday atleast and by enjoy all I mean is I get peace of mind and no one tries to fuck it not even Vishal and his antics!
I get down from my bed and decide to be fresh today, I take a hot bath and dress up comfortably and pull my hair into a loose yet tidy bun and mosturize myself properly.
In Mumbai we don't need mosturization because of the climate but surely we need because of the ridiculous amount of pollution we have to face every day!
I go down for breakfast praying for it to be a good day once again. As I sit at the table I great everyone with a good morning and silently concentrate on the food in front of me when Dad attracts everyone's attention, "We will be having the Bhanushali's at our place today after long", he says in a formal tone as if announcing a business meeting.
"And why so suddenly?", I ask trying to sound as casual as possible.
"They were gonna visit to invite us for Bhavin's wedding so I asked them to stay for lunch and probably dinner too", he says going back to his newspaper.
"Okay", I say and finish the conversation there.
Hours later our house feels a little lively, just a little but it does and I couldn't deny that it feels good!
Arshi as usual was very cheerful and quickly bonded with Mansi and both of them sit aside talking while our dads engrossed themselves discussing business and moms were lost in their talks.
That's when I get to talk to Bhavin. Even after the most awkward moments that took place between us, he was and is still a friend to me and a soul that I care about, we were there for each other in our own small ways!
"Getting married finally!", I say to him silently as we sit at the dining across each other. He puts away his phone and gives me his cute smile which forms a slight dimple on his cheek.
He is still cute! Maybe a little more cuter!
"Yes!", the way he is excited for the wedding and the way he was glowing and gleaming with joy even at the mall a few days back I could make out that he was truly happy!
"You love her a lot isn't it? Barkha right?", I ask him felling really happy for him and for once putting all my worries and sorrows aside I genuinely smile for him.
"A lot! Mom dad are very happy", he replies looking at our parents seated in the living room.
"I am very happy for you Bhavin, truly! Its good to know that atleast one of us found someone for life!", I didn't want to say the last part the way I did but it was already said and I couldn't change anything.
"You found him long back Advika!", I knew exactly what he meant, I was or maybe still am so in love with him that everyone could make it out from our faces when we used to be together.
When I don't reply for a few moments guilt creeps up Bhavin's face and I quickly understood that he mistook my silence, he surely must have thought that whatever happened was all because of him but that's the last thing I wanted to be on hisbmind while he was so happy in the present.
"No no, don't go there, you're not at fault Bhavin, it was my destiny, you are not the one to blame! Please don't take it up on you!", I assure him
"I'm really- "
"God stop dwelling in the past buddy, you're getting married to the woman you love! How great is that!!! I could make out something was up with you by the way you were gleaming in the mall that day!", I tease him and he blushes.
