"Young Lady, wake up." Kazari said, waking Ayaka up from her slumber.
"Hm? Ah, good morning Kazari." Ayaka yawned, sitting up. Thoma had woken up two hours earlier and had moved onto the floor so that he could sleep without worrying about anyone finding out that he 'technically' just slept with Ayaka.
'Didn't I tell myself to stop phrasing it like that?' Thoma thought as he went into the corner, fiddling with his necklace that he had gotten as a gift from Ayaka.
"Alright, you can look now Newcomer." said Kazari and Thoma turned back around to see Ayaka putting her fan that Thoma had gotten her back in its usual place.
"The boat will be docking in two hours," Thoma informed, "I believe the boat will also be anchored in five minutes for us to get breakfast."
"I can get it," Kazari volunteered, "What would you like Young Lady?"
"It doesn't matter," said Ayaka, "I'll just get whatever you're having."
"Very well." Kazari replied and went over to Ayaka's bed, fixing it up.
Ayaka and Thoma both looked at each other and smiled warmly, Ayaka had not forgotten her embarrassment of having Thoma in her bed, she had thought about it so much that she stayed up for hours just thinking about it.
After five minutes, the bell was rang, signalling that the boat was stopped and Kazari left the room, saying that she would be back shortly.
"Lord Ayato came in a few minutes before you woke up... Ayaka." Thoma said, hesitating about the use of her given name.
"Is that so? What did he want?" Ayaka asked, celebrating in secret about how Thoma called her by her first name.
"Lord Ayato told me to give you this," said Thoma and handed Ayaka a letter with a key attached to it.
Ayaka opened the letter and invited Thoma to read it as well, the letter read:
'Dear Sister Ayaka,
Attached to this letter is the key to your room at Wangshu Inn and you are Room 143. But first, Mr. Azazel stopped by and instructed that each of us will be heading there at a different time. Once the boat docks, Father will be going towards the Wangsheng Funeral Parlor and the two of us will be heading towards Liyue Souvenir Shop and after an hour, I will leave.
Once I am gone for an hour, follow this map to get to Wangsheng Funeral Parlor:
Good bye and see you at the inn.
- Ayato
P.S. Remember to carry your sword with you as bandits may attack, we will not be using carriages either as that will draw attention to us.'
"Alright, this map will definitely be useful." Ayaka nodded and tucked it into her pocket.
"Young Lady, do not worry about the bandits," Thoma assured, "I brought my polearm with me, I will definitely protect you!"
"Is that so? Thank you Thoma," Ayaka smiled, "But I will still bring my sword with me as my brother did instruct me to."
"If we do run into bandits... will we be fighting alongside each other?" Thoma asked.
"Possibly, if we do, then I'm counting on you, okay? Make sure to count on me too." Ayaka reassured.
"Thank you Young Lady! I will do my very best to keep you safe!" Thoma exclaimed.
