Ayaka entered the Komore Teahouse, she walked into the room where Thoma usually stayed.

"Thoma? Are you in here?" Ayaka looked around, she saw Thoma passed out with his head lying on the table, she smiled and opened the shōji closet doors and laid a kakebuton over Thoma.

Looking outside, Ayaka saw that the sun was beginning to set. It probably wouldn't be until later that Thoma would be waking up.

".... Alright." Ayaka nodded, she clenched her fists with determination.

                                                                               ...

When Ayaka had first walked into the kitchen a week ago at the Kamisato estate to see if she could make a chazuke, it was just as they were beginning the preparations to make lunch.

"Ah, Lady Ayaka!" Kiana noticed, "Guys! Lady Ayaka is here!"

"Oh! No, no, there's no need for you all to greet me," Ayaka seemed flustered after everyone stopped what they were doing to bow, "Sorry... I didn't mean to distract you all."

Itsuki came over, asking Mei to look after the soup broth.

"What can I do for you, Lady Ayaka?" Itsuki asked.

"Erm... nothing," Ayaka replied, she preferred to keep her liking to chazuke private, "I was just... hm? Didn't breakfast just finish an hour ago? You all begin working on lunch so quickly afterwards??"

"After we serve breakfast, we clean up, take a small break, and then start to begin the preparations for lunch," Itsuki explained, "We are making enough to feed the entire household after all."

"That's a lot of hard work to do every day..." Ayaka nodded along, she had always known their job wasn't easy but she had never actually gotten a full explanation of how often and long they worked.

"We get used to it," Itsuki assured, then he laughed, "Still, being acknowledged by Lady Ayaka herself will most likely make them feel motivated."

"Erm... Itsuki," Ayaka twiddled her thumbs, "Actually... do you think I could...?"

                                                                      ...

In the Komore Teahouse kitchen, Ayaka tied her hair into a bun and put on a kappōgi, she washed hands and began to boil water to make dashi, and cut both a tofu and salmon.

"Let's see... Itsuki told me that Lavender Melon is a good thing to add..." Ayaka looked skeptical as she looked at the purple fruit, "No, no... let's trust Itsuki's opinion."

                                                                     ...

"Lady Ayaka, the eggs has been boiling too long." Itsuki pointed out as he took the clay pot off the heat.

"Eh? Ah... I'm sorry..." Ayaka apologized.

"There's nothing to worry about," Itsuki shook his head, "It's best to continue working near the pot so you know when to stop."

 "I see, I understand."

Watching Ayaka, Itsuki couldn't help but laugh to himself.

"Itsuki? Is something wrong?" Ayaka asked.

"No, no, nothing of the sorts," Itsuki assured, "I'm just glad to see you working so hard."

"Well, I'm lucky because at this time, there's nothing big happening any time soon." Ayaka laughed.
