"Oh! Sharar! Hey! Over here! Can you bring this to the head of the guards?" Yaku, head of the laundry department, asked, pointing to a large bamboo bowl filled with clean and dry clothes, "You're headed in that direction, right?"

"Hm? Alright." Sharar replied and picked up the bowl.

"Are you going to be able to come back after that and help bring some of the laundry in?" Yaku asked.

"Young Lord gave me the night off so I'll be going to the festival after this." Sharar said.

"Ah! I see, alright then. Make sure you enjoy yourself at the festival," Yaku smiled, "Abdiel was looking forward to it. He seemed very excited."

"Oh... is that so?" Sharar bobbed her head up and down and began to walk, then, she realized what Yaku had said and immediately turned around, her face painted with pink, "Wait! Pardon? Excited?"

"Ah... you two are both so young yet so mature," Yaku put a hand on her cheek and swooned, "If only one of you had the confidence to do it today."

"D-do what today?" Sharar exclaimed, she usually wasn't this flustered.

"Hm... who knows." Yaku twirled the ends of her hair, "Well, I must be getting back to work. Not everyone has the night off. Make sure you enjoy yourself."

Yaku winked and began to walk off towards the hung up laundry. Sharar was still caught off-guard by what Yaku had said earlier that she was momentarily frozen in place.

"She's just messing with you, Sharar." she grumbled to herself and turned around to walk towards the guard wing.

                                                                     ...

"What are you carrying?" Abdiel asked, he was leaning against the door to the estate when Sharar had got there.

   "Work." Sharar said simply.

"Yeah, I got that." Abdiel nodded and then took a peek, "Whose laundry is that?"

   "The guards'." Sharar replied.

"Wow, you're being worked to the second. Yaku does that a lot." Abdiel grinned, "I was just washing dishes with Itsuki, he let me leave five minutes early."

"He's not as strict as Yaku." Sharar said in response and continued walking.

   "Want help?" Abdiel questioned.

"No, I'm good." Sharar shook her head.

"Well, you'll need it. Unless you want to set the bowl down to open the door." Abdiel quickly tagged along.

   ".... Alright." Sharar said.

"Oh, oh! Did you hear? Mina and Asahi broke up." Abdiel clapped his hands together, remember hearing the news just earlier today.

   "They were dating?" Sharar questioned.

"Huh? You didn't know? They started after Lady Ayaka and Thoma had announced their relationship." Abdiel tapped his chin as he tried to remember.

"They didn't last very long then." Sharar noted.

"A few months isn't bad." Abdiel shrugged.

"Why did they break up?" Sharar asked.

"Mina says Asahi was too desperate and Asahi said Mina was too crazy," Abdiel sighed, "They were both too brutal."
