SPECIAL: White Day

(Editor's Note: In Japan, there are basically 2 kinds of Valentine's Day. One is, of course, Valentine's Day which is where the girls give chocolates to the boys but White Day is where boys give chocolates to a girl.)

    "Today's White Day..." Thoma sighed.

     Abdiel just stood there with a mop and a blank, confused expression.

     "Uh... nice?" Abdiel said.

     "Do you remember what White Day is?" Thoma questioned.

     "No." Abdiel shrugged.

      "Come on Abdiel! I told you about it last year, and the year before, and the year before that!" Thoma pointed out.

      "Sorry man!" Abdiel apologized, "There's just so many holidays that I've never heard of before!"

      "Okay, White Day is when the boys give chocolates to girls." Thoma explained again.

      "Ah... that's right." Abdiel nodded.

     "Anyway, I always give some kind of chocolate to Young Lady just as she does for me on Valentine's Day." said Thoma, "But this year... I've been wanting to do something different but I'm still just not sure yet if I should do it..."

      "What is it?" Abdiel asked excitedly and curiously.

     Thoma's hands went to his pockets and he pulled something out of it. Upon seeing what Thoma was holding, Abdiel hands went to his mouth and his eyes were wide.

     "S-seriously?" Abdiel asked in a hushed whisper, scared that raising his voice would break the item.

      "Should I?" Thoma questioned, "I mean... it's not too late to make chocolates."

      "Nah man, you've got to do it." Abdiel nodded, "What's the plan?"

      "Well... I don't really know..." Thoma admitted.

      "You don't know?!" Abdiel exclaimed but then quickly went back into a whisper, "Here, I'll help you, okay? I love planning stuff like this."

      "You've done it before?" Thoma asked.

      "No." Abdiel shrugged, "But I read a lot in my spare time."

   Ayaka had a lot to deal with right now, and that wasn't referring to the amount of work she had right now. What Ayaka meant was that she was worried about White Day. Over the years of them being a couple, she and Thoma had shared three White Days together and every time, Thoma always brought her chocolates.

    Now, it might've been a silly thing to worry about but recently, Ayaka began to worry if she would be getting anything from Thoma this year. On Valentine's Day, Ayaka had gifted Thoma a chocolate cake so normally, it shouldn't be anything to worry about.

   However, over the course of the past week, whenever the word 'chocolate' was mentioned, Thoma would be jumpy and quickly hurry away. It was... suspicious behaviour to say the least.
