Under the Rain

      Heavy rain poured down on Inazuma, thunder roared, and purple lightning flashed in the skies. As it was autumn, this kind of weather was normal and not many paid much attention to it and carried on like usual.

   "We hardly ever see this kind of weather in Mondstadt." said Thoma when he heard that stores were still in business and people were still going out and about.

    "Really? I just thought weather like this was normal for most nations." Ayaka noted, looking at Thoma.

  "Definitely not," Thoma shook his head, "I wonder how Liyue is in the autumn..."

  "I'll write to Hu Tao and Zhongli soon and ask them then." Ayaka smiled.

   "Aha, I should write to them as well."

   "It's getting quite late," Ayaka said, "Shall we go to bed now?"

   "Oh! Yes," Thoma nodded, "Good night Young Lady!"

  "Hm... I can't believe we're low on rice of all things..." Itsuki muttered, the kitchen staff was now making breakfast and were planning to make Omelette Rice.

   "Is something wrong Teacher?" Thoma asked, noticing that Itsuki looked distressed.

   "We don't have enough rice and need someone to get them..." Itsuki explained and then looked at Thoma, "Can you go to Tsukumomono Groceries and buy some rice? Here, I'll give you 90 Mora."

    "I-in this weather?!" Thoma asked, looking at the pouring rain outside.

     "Good point..." Itsuki said.

    "Whew." Thoma breathed a sigh of relief.

     "Here, take this wagasa!" Itsuki exclaimed and tossed Thoma a red and orange patterned wagasa umbrella.

      Thoma looked at the umbrella and decided that there was no getting out of this.

      "What else do we need?" Thoma asked.

     "Tofu as well," Itsuki said, "Here, I'll give you another 270 Mora so get three packages!"

      "Roger that! I'm off."

     "Thank you Thoma."

      Ayaka stared out her window and rested her head on her hands, she enjoyed listening to the sound of rain. Noticing a red and orange wagasa, Ayaka leaned out to get a better view, it was Thoma.

    "Is he being sent on an errand?" Ayaka asked, "I shouldn't bother him then, I'll talk to him later."

   Ayaka watched Thoma until he was just a small figure in the distance and then remembered that she needed to read through a couple of documents referring to the Autumn Festival that would be happening in a few weeks.

    "Hm... I will need to speak to Yoimiya about this one..." Ayaka muttered and pushed that file aside, every now and then, Ayaka would feel her eyes wander off outside and soon, she started to wonder what why. While she did enjoy the sound of rain, it usually only lasted for a while... so why did her gaze continue drifting off? Was she maybe... waiting for Thoma to come back?

    Ayaka searched for her fan and then remembered that she had accidentally left it in her room, she stood up and walked back, opening her bedroom's door and spotting her fan on her bed.

   "Oh, this is Thoma's!" Ayaka exclaimed, spotting the silver necklace that she had gifted him. It was on the ground and she assumed that it hadn't been clipped in properly.
