"The wise man is one who knows what he does not know"

...
"Lord Aya-chi," Akari wore a small grin, "There is something I need to tell you."
"Is everything alright Akari?" Ayato questioned.
Akari smiled mischievously as she looked down on the head of the Kamisato clan.
"Well Lord Aya-chi," she started, "I don't like it when people lie to me about important things, do you?"
"Hm? Well, of course not." Ayato replied, slightly confused.
"Exactly. Now tell me, how do you feel about your own sister lying blatantly to your face?" Akari questioned.
Ayato cocked an eyebrow and Akari continued smiling.
"Ayaka? Lying to me?" Ayato asked, "What would she need to lie to me about?"
"Well, maybe... a relationship with someone." Akari suggested playfully.
Ayato sighed and began to rub his temples, he was still recovering and didn't have the proper mental fortitude to have this confusing conversation.
"What's the point of this conversation Akari?" Ayato demanded,
"Lord Aya-chi, your sister has been dating someone," Akari revealed, "And it's the very person who you brought into the estate in the first place."
"Thoma?" Ayato questioned, "Ayaka is dating Thoma?"
"Of course!" Akari smiled and nodded her head, "Of course, I couldn't just let them keep this a secret from you while you're in the hospital Lord Aya-chi! After all, who knows when you could cross over..."
"First of all Akari," Ayato raised his voice, "I am progressing well with my injuries and will not be passing away any time soon. Secondly, how dare you accuse my sister and her attendant to be dating without any proof other than your own words!"
Akari stumbled backwards and her eyes went harsh.
"Me? Accuse?" Akari repeated with a dangerous tone. "Aya-chi, I am telling the truth."
Ayato stayed firm and didn't even flinch as Akari covered one of her eyes with her hands and then ran it through her hair.
"Well, when the truth comes to you, it will be a rude awakening Aya-chi." Akari turned away and flicked her hair over her shoulder. Before leaving, she said, "Let the archons see that I tried."
Akari left the hospital room and Ayato breathed a sigh of relief, he was always scared of that little girl but since her work was good, he never found a good reason to fire her.
As she skipped away from the hospital, Akari began to sing.
"Ten little foolish boys, running to eat; one choked to death, there are only nine left. Nine foolish little boys were really sleepy-" Akari sang as she skipped away.
...
Ayaka opened her eyes but didn't find herself in her office or bedroom. Instead, Ayaka found herself in her mother's old room. This must've been a dream.
While Ayaka did want to wake up and continue working, but she also wanted to wait and hopefully see her mother. As of late, Ayaka's dreams were the only place where she could see her parents as all the pictures of them were taken years ago and showed them when they were younger.
