No Going Back

        "Mommy, why did you and Daddy get married?" Ayaka had asked Lady Kamisato, at this time, Ayaka was only seven years old and she always slept with her mother.

     "Because I love him!" Lady Kamisato replied with a smile on her face.

       "Love?"

    "Ah... that's when you have this feeling of joy and happiness when you're around someone and you want to stay with them for the rest of your life."

     "Then... I love you Mommy!"

      "Aha, you have the right idea," Lady Kamisato laughed, "But that's a different kind of love Ayaka."

      "When you love someone, are you always happy?" Ayaka asked.

      "Hm... not always," Lady Kamisato said, "Sometimes you'll feel angry at them, sometimes you'll feel really sad, sometimes you'll get lonely."

    "What do you do when you're lonely?"

   "Well, I wrap my arms around you like this and hug you tightly! This way, I'll never be lonely!"  Lady Kamisato exclaimed and hugged Ayaka.

     "Heheh... you're really warm Mommy." Ayaka laughed.

      "Good! I'll protect you from the cold!"

       That was where the dream ended, Ayaka sat up and rubbed her eyes, she looked to her side and saw that Thoma was still asleep.

    "It's been a while since I've dreamt of Mother..." Ayaka sighed and stretched out her arms, "I feel too awake to go back to sleep, maybe I'll get my day started now."

      Unfortunately, starting her day only consisted of Ayaka getting changed and doing her hair. Kazari was always against her doing these by herself since it was her job to handles these things.

     "Now what should I do?" Ayaka asked herself when she finished tying up her hair, "Breakfast probably isn't finished yet..."

     Ayaka heard Thoma shuffling around and then turned to see him sitting up, rubbing his eyes and yawning.

   "Oh? Young Lady, you're up." Thoma yawned, "You don't usually get up until later."

    "I had a dream." Ayaka shrugged, "I didn't know you got up at this time."

    "Usually, I'm up earlier but... I guess I also had a dream?" Thoma laughed and scratched the back of his head, "It wasn't a bad one or anything but it just felt so... real."

    "I understand," Ayaka nodded, "I had a dream about the past, it was quite reminiscent."

    "Ah! One of those dreams, I get those from time to time." Thoma grinned.

    "Indeed, I do enjoy having those kinds of dreams, they're very endearing."

    "Ah! You already got changed Young Lady!" Thoma realized, "Kazari might not be happy, you know what she always says!"

     "I know, but I had a lot of time." Ayaka smiled.

     "Come to think of it, I think Kazari usually wakes up at around this time, we typically wake you up in ten minutes."

      "Ah, I see, what do you usually do before I wake up?" Ayaka asked.

       "Usually leave your room and then make it look like I'm walking in when Kazari gets here." Thoma shrugged.
