Ayato screamed as he charged towards Abdiel, his wooden sword raised and ready to strike, when he brought the wooden blade down, it was blocked by Abdiel.
"AHHHH!" Ayato continued screaming, putting all of his weight behind his strike.
Not allowing himself to get pushed back, Abdiel stepped forward and parried Ayato's sword, causing the future head of the Kamisato clan to wobble backwards. Seeing this as a chance, Abdiel poked Ayato's chest and he fell to the floor.
"Mwahaha! My victory!" Abdiel celebrated.
Ayato puffed his cheeks and crossed his arms, turning his head to the side.
"Hmph!" he pouted, "I was close!"
"Not in a million years!" Abdiel exclaimed.
Ayato sniffled, he laid on the ground and looked up at the sky.
"Maybe I'm just not suited to the sword." Ayato concluded.
"What weapon then?" Abdiel questioned.
"Hm.... I don't know!" Ayato sat up, "Something I can beat you in!"
"I'll always win!" Abdiel argued.
"I can't use a bow very well.... claymores are too heavy... I don't like polearms..." Ayato began to list weapons, "Catalyst.... can't use one!"
Abdiel sat down on the ground.
"Swords are perfect for us!" Abdiel grinned.
"Eh....... why?!" Ayato exclaimed.
"Archers usually stay far away, claymores aree slow and big, polearms are long and aren't convenient for partners to use, and catalysts involve both having a Vision!" Abdiel explained, "Swords work perfectly with each other!"
"You're so much better than me though!" Ayato protested.
"That's alright!" Abdiel looked confident, "After all, you and me, side by side, when working together, we're unstoppable, no?"
...
"Is something wrong?" asked a voice that would make anyone remember the bright blue ocean waves.
"K-Kokomi!" Ayaka exclaimed, Sharar quickly took a deep bow, "Gorou!"
"Lady Sangonimya," Ayato bowed his head slightly, "I do apologize but at the moment, it appears two of our important workers are in deep trouble with the Fatui."
"The Fatui," Gorou snarled, "Her Excellency, could I please assist them?"
"Of course," Kokomi nodded, "I will help as well."
"Kokomi..." Ayaka said.
"Thank you, Lady Sangonimya, Gorou." Ayato bowed his head.
"We'll need to save the thanks for when we save your workers," Kokomi nodded, "Which way do we go?"
...
"Lady Kamisato Ayaka," Gorou ran to catch up to Ayaka, "May I ask who the two workers are?"
