Part Forty One

Jo's POV.

I wake up the next morning to the sun shining. I look over and see Rafe feeding Stella. He looks up at me.

"Good morning gorgeous."
'Morning'

I sit up and smile.

"You have a Gatorade on the table beside you. I got it when I woke up."
'Thank you. How long have you been up?'

I grab the Gatorade and it's already opened.

"Already opened it for you."

He smiles.
"And I've been up about like two hours. Nurses came in to feed her and then once I woke up showed me how to do it."
'Awww that's so sweet. What time is it?'

I take a drink.

"It's noon."

I stop taking a drink.

'Oh wow.'

I place the drink on the table.

"I just let you sleep."

He lays Stella in my arms. He kisses my forehead.

"The doctor said you could leave today."
'Really?'

I look at him.

"Yeah she said everything looks good between you and Stella. She said for me to keep an eye on you both."

He smiles.

'So you're gonna be staying with me?'
"Or you can stay with me."
'I can't take that chance. We don't know when Ward will be back.'

I say looking at my daughter.

"I don't live with him. I have my own place and I'd like you guys to come stay with me."

I look up at him and smile.

'That's sweet Rafe but I want her around John B and themfor the first few months.'
"That's fine princess. My offer is always open."
'Thank you handsome.'

I smile. We wait around for a while. They unhook me from everything. I pack the bags and put her in her car seat.

"Look I took a picture."

He shows me.

'I love it, Rafe. Send that to me.'
"I will princess. Now I will take you two home."

He grabs her car seat and we walk out and get in his truck. I sit in the back with her as he drives.

"You okay back there princess?"
'Yeah I'm good.'

I post the picture that Rafe took at the hospital.
