Tin's POV

It all started seven years ago, when I met the love of my life by accident: I almost ran him over with my car. He hated me, but somehow he learned to love me and I know that no one else could love me in the same way as my Cantaloupe.

We went through a lot, both of us, but the episode with Chao in Japan ... It changed my boyfriend forever and I worried about getting him back.

It took a long time, but they met by chance in Los Angeles, they talked to each other and everything worked out well. So much so that my stupid little boy told me "I'm ready now."

The next morning I asked and he said he had forgotten. I tried asking him multiple times over the months ... until he told me ...

—Love ... —he called.

It was Christmas night. Tul and Rock were gone and Can and I stayed at the house. We were naked, in front of the fireplace, covered under a blanket ... It was a very romantic night.

— What's wrong baby?

— Do you remember last year I told you I was ready? —I just nodded—. I'm ready to marry you. —His little eyes sparkled and we kissed.

I didn't accept that as a proposal. Since I saw that marriage equality was legal in Thailand, I made it a point to marry him. Can said of being a couple ... This would be my moment.

Can's POV

Our last week in Thailand was really hectic. It was like my freshman year of college. And speaking of which, on Thursday we had the welcoming ceremony ... Mom cried a lot. We went out to eat: with her, Ley, Tin, Tul, Rock and Nong Phu.

On Friday we had the goodbye with the boys: Tin and I had finished our degree, so we would go to live in the USA because my idiot would work with his brother. It was fun, all the guys from soccer came, even my P's.

On Saturday we boarded the plane that would take us to a new future and away from home and my family ...

I was very sad in general, not only on the plane, when I arrived as well. The first night I hugged Tin and cried myself to sleep, I know, I looked like a little boy ...

It cost me a lot. The first few months were horrible. We rented an apartment but I don't know, it didn't feel like "our home" in Thailand.

I'm a sports graduate ... Tin got jealous when I worked as a personal trainer, so I got a job at a gym. It bothered him too, but not that much.

One day we argued and I told him that I was not the owner of the gym, that I couldn't choose my clients and he told me that he would open me a gym ... It never happened.

For Christmas, I was dying to go back to Thailand but Tin had a lot of work and he said it was better to bring Mom and Ley and so we did. They would come on December 28, Ley was very happy and Mom was happy to see me (I do make a video call a week).

It was customary to spend Christmas at Tul and Rock's and for them to leave. This year would be no different ... Unless kitty came back ... AND I LOST MY NECKLACE! I took off my necklace, the one with Tin's ring, the one that I only take off to wear the bell or Daddy's necklace ... I felt worse than when I came to live in the United States.

Tin told me not to worry that he loved me the same and that he knew what my feelings were for him. I was in a doggy mood, in fact I told him not to give me a puppy to cheer me up!

I was still packed on the bed, arms folded, motionless.

— Baby ... —My cute idiot said to me— I have a gift that will make you smile.

— I don't think so.

— In a year ... —he approached me and took my hands— we will be able to live in Thailand again.

I was shocked, I couldn't believe it. I hugged him and kissed his whole face.

Tin's POV

I was going to tell him later, but he was so upset that he lost our ring ... Poor thing.

I had prepared everything. And after a lot of talking, I convinced him to go and open his gift under the tree: It was a huge box, with many small boxes inside, like a mammushka. Can got tired halfway through, I turned on my cell phone and filmed it. He got frustrated and started opening the boxes faster and frustrated .. it was a lot of fun, until he got to the last box. It was small, red, and had our ring inside. Can's eyes widened. He was shaking.

— Cantaloupe Kirakorn, will you marry me?

He made no sounds, but a tear began to fall on his face and he shook his head affirmatively.

We get closer and kiss. I was truly happy when he accepted.

— Look inside. —I said and pointed to the ring—. I want it to be our wedding day.

Can's POV

Tin convinced me that he had another super gift. Which I know is a lie, but I don't want to be so mean to him at Christmas ...

I went and it was one of those damn boxes, they have a thousand boxes inside, asshole ... To make matters worse, in the middle of my frustration, he starts recording me with his cell phone and laughing ... He already has the VIP pass to hell.

But after a while, the boxes were really small, especially the last one. I opened it and there was our ring, very polished and beautiful. I was hypnotized looking at him.

— Cantaloupe Kirakorn, Will you marry me?

I looked at him. It was the happiest moment of my life, I couldn't speak. I know that several times we said that we would get married, but he was really proposing! Shit Can! Tin Medthanan wants to spend the rest of his life with you! I don't know how to express the happiness that invaded me. I just nodded, cried, and kissed him.

— Look inside. I want it to be our wedding day.

I took the ring and looked at it: 05/25/24

— I want May 25 to be our wedding, our anniversary.

I will definitely marry the sweetest jerk.

— Give me your right hand, baby. —He placed the ring on my ring finger.

He took out his ring, also polished and inscribed. I put it on his ring finger on his right hand.

—I know there is a little more than a year to go, —Tin began—, but now we are engaged and there is no going back, right?

— Without regrets.
