Tin POV

Somebody knock on my bedroom door insistently. Finally I decide to attend with my face of not being happy about it. It's Tul.

—Mom said you should go out with Nam. –He looked at me waiting for my expression.

She is the girl with whom I made a mess at the dinner. Her parents are among the richest people in the country. My mother wants me to go out with her, so that I can apologize for my awkwardness and leave a good impression of my family. She also would like to get me someone from a prominent family.
I simply closed the door on Tul's face. I know he smiled and enjoyed giving me this news.

Today I will try to convince Pete again. Pete is my only salvation. I could not find him in class, so I went to the parking lot and there he was.

— I still want to be in a relationship with you.

— And I'm still telling you that won't be possible.

— Will I have to separate you from him? —I looked serious, almost as if it were a threat.

— Ai Tin! What are you doing with Pete? What the fuck do you want with him?

Can. I turned around and kept talking to Pete.

— I'll get you away from him if necessary. –I said to Pete.

At that moment two girls came running.

— P'Can! Don't talk to him like that!

— Lay, don't let this pretty face fool you. He's one of the most crap people I've ever met. —Can looked at me angrily, to which, I held his gaze.

— Tin wasn't doing anything wrong to me. —Pete stopped.

— Don't be so good to him. Tell me what he did to you. —Can demanded.

— He didn't do anything. Chompoo saw everything. —One of the girls said— Then he –she pointed at me— was asking P'Pete to be his boyfriend.

— What? — Can was astonished.

Can kept seeing me and I locked our gazes. The girls babbled something, but I don't know, I wasn't interested in them. I kept staring at the silly boy. They were gone.

— This is a misunderstood Can. —It was Pete. Breaking our trance. — Don't you have a match? Shouldn't you go?

— Ai Pete, Ae was looking for you. —Can said and looked at me again. —I have something to talk to your friend.

— I also have something to say.

— Emmm... Then I'm leaving. —Pete knew immediately that he should walk away.

We waited for him to leave and we looked at each other again, without speaking nor doing anything. Many things happen to me when I see Can... Like, I give a shit about Nam or whoever my mother wants for me. I am bothered by many things that this boy says or does but at the same time I feel that... they turn me on? He needs someone to teach him manners, to teach him to shut up when it does not apply and I keep thinking that I would be the perfect one for the job.

— What do you want? —I asked finally.

—I should ask that. —He opened his eyes. —Last week you called them disgusting and today you asked Pete to be your boyfriend... What do you want?

— You should know —I approached and took him by the shoulder —that my affairs with Pete are none of your business.

He pulled my hand from his shoulder.
