CHAPTER 6 A GOOD HEART

AXEL'S POV:

I was floating somewhere, I couldn't remember, I just kept thinking about Nathan the love of my life. Even though we hadn't gone on an official date yet I knew in my heart we were meant to be.

Anyway, for the longest time I just sat there in an endless void floating, then I heard someone telling me to open my eyes, and I did.

I was in some kind of grotto, there was a beautiful waterfall and a throne made of stone, it looked amazing. But just as I was taking in the sights, I heard that voice again,

"Welcome mortal!" I turned and found no one but when I looked back to the throne a man was sitting there, but it wasn't a man it was some kind of man goat thing.

"Who..? What are you...?" I asked a little freaked out, "I am pan Greek god of the forest and nature!" He spoke in a booming tone,

"You're a god??" I asked wide eyed. "Yes I am, and your spirit has been brought here because Saturn's descendant wishes to save you, and the only way this is possible is if I accept you as my guardian, my descendant." I looked at him wide eyed.

"But I'm not related to you." I told him timidly, "This is true, but if a god accepts a mortal as his descendant then said mortal will be his guardian. My blood shall flow through your viens, but only if I sense you are fit to wield my power and represent my name." This was all just too much, and then I thought about what he said earlier,

"Who is Saturn's descendant?" I asked a little scared,

"Ah Saturn one of the more powerful gods in the Greek pantheon, he is the god of silence, death and destruction. Centuries ago Saturn and the other gods had children with humans, demi gods they were called, over time the gods agreed that only those born of the one thousandth member of their line would become their guardians, the other descendants of the other gods had already been found and trained, but Saturn's descendant was not so easy to find, but he has been found and now he wishes to save your life." Pan explained to me,

"But why? Who is Saturn's descendant and why does he care so much about me?"

"You should already know who he is, you've had a crush on him for some time." Pan told me while winking.

I thought for a second, the only person I've ever had a crush on was..... I turned and looked at him wide eyed, he smirked at me knowing I just put two and two together. "Nathan." I said in an overwhelmed tone. "That's correct Nathan is the one thousandth member of Saturn's bloodline, and as such he has inherited his powers, honestly Saturn couldn't stop wearing that sh*t eating grin the moment we all sensed his descendant had finally awoken his power." Pan told me in an annoyed tone, and I chuckled at that.

"Anyway, I can sense you have a good heart and I would be honored to have you as my guardian. What do you say?" I thought about what he was offering me, the chance to be a demi god, to be with the one I love. Honestly there was no real option. "I'll do it!" I exclaimed,

Pan had a proud look on his face. He held out his hand to me and I took it, and in that instance I felt him giving me his power, mixing my blood with his own, making me a demi god.

After it was over I opened my eyes and sat up instantly, I looked around and I saw Nathan, he had tears in his eyes. I got off the bed and walked towards him like my life depended on it, then I engulfed him in a bone crushing hug.

"Hi." I said to him, "Hi, you need a shower" His voice was muffled due to him being in my chest but I could hear him clearly. I asked him what happened, and he said he would tell me later, I agreed, then I was introduced to Nina, and Oren.

I told them what happened with Pan and how I became his guardian. They showed me around, apparently the house was magically created for the guardians, every pantheon all over the world has houses like this, and this one was for the Greek pantheon which I was now apart of.
