"Jordan, what the HELL was that!" Will demanded as they drove down the road. Jordan kept his eyes pressed shut.

He sighed, "My dad was coming upstairs and I, I panicked, sorry." He rambled. Will glanced over at the scared boy in the passenger seat.

"Don't be sorry. I'm just glad you're okay." Jordan opened his eyes to look out the open window. He petted Sam as the car moved along.

Not much to his surprise, he saw two people making some sort of drug deal. He knew what the looked like quite well. He's been to a fair share in his lifetime.

His mom used to bring him to them all the time when he was younger because she couldn't afford a babysitter.

As his eyes focused in on the buyer and seller he recognised his mom. She looked to be buying based on the wad of cash she held.

She ran a hand through her hair as she was given the drugs. When she turned around she spotted him.

"Will, pull over." Jordan mumbled angrily. He did as told without question. Jordan placed Sam on Will's lap and got out of the car.

His mom pulled her son into a hug but quickly pulled away when he didn't hug back. "Jordan, baby, what's wrong?" She asked.

Jordan laughed dryly, she must not be high right now. "Oh nothing. Only that I find you making a drug deal after I've been gone for almost two days. I can't believe you're not even the slightest bit worried."

Jordan laughed again, "Wait. I actually can believe because you've got to be the WORST mother in the world!" He threw his hands up in the air. He ran a hand through his hair.

"I mean honestly, who encourages their husband to beat their son? Seriously! Who does that!" He yelled in exasperation.

His mom looked at him is shock. "Jordan, how could you say that?" He began to laugh really hard.

"How could I say that?" He yelled, "because it's all true, mom! Don't you see!" Jordan stopped and stared at her.

"You don't get it do you? I haven't been happy in about ten fucking years. But now that I'm out of the house and with Will I'm happy as a fucking clam!"

His mom gasped, "Jordan. I didn't know. Who's Will?" Jordan glared at her, but before he could say anything Will got out of the car.

"How could you know!" He screamed, "If you're high all the damn time how the fuck were you supposed to know! All you do is get high, drink and let your son get the shit beaten out of him everyday!" Will yelled in her face.

"I've seen some pretty shit people in my life time but you! You're probably the worst I've ever seen! Your son deals with so much shit at school plus you at home! I don't know how the hell he's lasted this long!" He continued, his face turning red.

His mom stared at him with tears forming in her eyes. She opened her mouth to speak, "Don't." Will sneered, "c'mon Jordan lets go home."

Jordan got in the car and held Sam to his chest. "I got all my stuff earlier." He growled.

Will started the engine, "Oh and by the way!" He yelled, "I'm Will! I'm dating your son! Nice to fucking meet you!" He called and began to drive away.

They left Jordan's mom on the street and went home. "Thank you." Jordan said when they were almost home.

Will's knuckles were white from gripping the steering wheel. He was still furious, "No problem, Jordan." He forced a smile. "You don't have to worry anymore."
