"You're hosting a new years party?"
The boys all look stunned, "no— my family are," I correct. The last thing I want to do is go back home for some party, "and, we're invited?" Hayden asks, "yes." The truth is— I need Elizabeth at that party, and I know if the boys come, the girls will. Ele won't feel happy leaving Lizzie home alone while we're partying in New York.
"What's wrong?" I question as the boys all look up at me, Alex speaks first, "you've just never invited us to a family party before." That's true— yet this time I need them there. "First time for everything right," I smile at them, Roma doesn't look too convinced. "You can bring the girls," I explain, "obviously," Hayden grins. Great, I clap my hands in acceptance, "we leave tomorrow."
It was too easy.
The truth is— I need Elizabeth at that party, I need my father to see her and me together. He'll see the progression, he'll get off my back. He wants me to learn of Dominics' plans to out my family, I'll do one better. He'll be dead. Not to be morbid or anything around the festive season, but the old man had it coming. I remember everything— I remember everything he did to Lizzie, how she'd try to hide it from me. Even before all the fucked up shit.
"What time tomorrow?" Alex questions, glancing at my phone I see a notification from my brother.
BLAKE - Fathers pissed— something to do with the West again. I pray to god, don't do anything stupid.
I crack a smile reading the text which the boys pick up on, "it's still weird to see you smile," Hayden mutters. "It's my brother," I explain quickly before typing back my response.
ME - When do I do anything stupid?
A second later he responds.
BLAKE - That's funny— don't piss him off, Bliss. Kai's already done that, then again I don't know if you keep up with the news..
ME - What's he done?
My brother can't help but get into shit.
BLAKE - Rumour has it, he's been seen with a girl from the West.
His text is quickly followed by another.
BLAKE - Fuck knows if it's true— he doesn't say anything.
"It's crazy how theirs another you," Roma chuckles as does the boys, "Blake isn't like me." He's the furthest from me, some will argue Kai is more like me. We all look alike— so there's no denying we're related, yet, the boys are more fucked up compared to me.
The boys don't need to know that part though.
"I swear— my parents will obviously be at the party, don't do or say anything idiotic," I remind the boys. They've met my parents before but that was a long while ago, "when do we say or act like idiots?" Hayden asks the rhetorical question, I shoot him a look, "just," I take a breath, "stay away from them."
