Kian left fucking guards to watch me?

Oh, he's insane, "where is he?" I question one of the guarded men, they look like dears in headlights. Terrified of Kian fucking Bliss, he wouldn't do anything I wouldn't. Mind you, I haven't killed anyone, but I would if no one starts giving me answers.

He left me alone, literally one hour after I returned, and I'm supposed to wait? I understand that he's pissed, but surely he must get why I'd be annoyed. Kian's practically locked me inside his hotel suite, while he's nowhere to be found. It's not like I would have run again, I messed up the first time, we both know that. I'm not about to do it again. "I swear to god," I've always been patient, but if these men continue to just stare, I will lose it sooner than later.

"Where's my husband?" I ask sweetly while batting my eyelashes, both men exchange a look before glancing back at me. "So?" I stand with one hand on the door handle, the other on my hip as I wait for a proper answer. "The Capos out on business," one of the men finally says, out on business? That's bullshit, especially at two in the morning, from what I've heard from Sofia, there have been rumors of a planned attack, fuck knows which family is it. If I were to place a bet, it would either be The West or Boston.

"Is that the truth?" I turn my attention to the other bodyguard who remains silent. They can't be much older than me, I'm guessing Kian gave them this job because it would be easy. I've run from bodyguards employed by my father, I can run from these. I did notice that you can only enter or leave with a key card, one that is attached to the slightly larger bodyguard, interesting. "Well then," I say with a sigh, "you may as well come in," I step aside before gesturing inside, "I'm not going to sleep now, you can keep me company."

Both of the men exchange looks before finally cracking, the two of them step into the room and as the larger man passes me I skilfully grab the key card that is attached to his belt. "Idiots," I mumble as they make their way over to the couch. Before I close the door I hold up the key to show them, "it's a shame you need one to leave," as I expected both to jump out of their seats before rushing over to me, but like I planned I close the door just as they reach me. "Don't break down the door, it's hotel property," I shout in a whisper before making my way down the hallway.

Out on my business my ass, Kian was about to confess something, but he left just before he had the chance to admit it. Why didn't he come to get me? If Kian knew where I was, and he had people watching me, why not grab me and drag me back to New York? Kian had said he refused to go back to hate, but if we don't hate each other, what is left? Hate overrules any emotion, right? That's what my fathers always taught me. Yet, my father is dead and buried, I should care to ask where his grave is, but I don't.

I don't know where I'm going but I purposely turn off airplane mode on my phone, that way if Kian returns sooner than I could find him, he can find me via my location. I'm not naive, I know Kian tracks my phone. Where could he be? It's past midnight, if I had a guess, I would suggest he's with his brother. From what Sofias told me, I know Blake is once again out of the country watching her, so Kian must be with Kai.
