Three hours that's all, and then I could leave.
Of course, I'm never that lucky.
"And who is that?" Kai questions as he appears behind me, my gaze following his to spot Em and Alex dancing together. "You already know Alexander," I smile at him before taking a sip of my drink. Kai tuts before throwing an arm around my shoulders and pointing, "the girl, Bliss."
"Her name is Em, and she's taken," I shrug his arm off of me, "that's a shame." I roll my eyes as he takes my drink from me to finish it off. "Whose the girl from the West?" I ask which earns me a snicker from him, "I don't know what you're talking about." Jesus, he's me. "Don't be naive, K." He rolls his eyes in response as did I a moment ago, "fake news," he mutters beside me. After a couple of moments of silence when it becomes clear that he won't speak again, I do. "What do you want Kai?" Like me, everything he does has a motive, "guess whose moving to Pullman."
I stiffen which he picks up on and laughs, "yeah— next year, guess whatever that school did to you, father wants for me." My gaze travels the room to lock with my father whose watching us, "no." Kai wouldn't fit in, he's like me— just more fucked in the head. When I was growing up I had Blake to watch me and then I got lucky and met the boys. Kai in Pullman, attending WSU, wouldn't end well for anyone. "Please tell me you're joking," I try to give him the benefit of the doubt which clearly wasn't the move, as his face remains bored. "Does it look like I'm joking?" His question is rhetorical, "what the fuck am I going to do in Pullman?" He asks before taking a drink from a waiter who walks past.
"Why aren't you joining this year?" I question as he downs the alcoholic drink in one, "I told him to fuck off— luckily Blake sided with me and said to give me a year to," he waves a hand to try to find his next words, "redeem myself."
"And will you?" Kai rolls his eyes, me and Kia are actually very similar, it terrifies me. "Just because I'll be sent to Washington, doesn't mean I'll change." Oh, I know— I'm glad he's aware of that too. Blake and my father are more idiotic than I would have thought if they actually think Kai will change. "Jesus," I pause, she just couldn't stay away. "There's two of you," Ems voice appears beside me, "Kai Bliss," my eyes lock with his as he extends his hand. "Pleasure to make your acquaintance," he grips Ems hand to kiss her knuckles— thank god Alex is currently talking to Liv and Hayden.
"Emilia," she smiles before stepping away from him and closer to me. "Really Bliss?" I look up from Em to my brother, "did you fuck every girl you met at college?" His eyes holding a challenge, "no," I didn't fuck Ele— and technically I fucked Lizzie before WSU. "I should head back to the girls," Em mutters beside me before excusing herself. "Don't," I warn my brother once Em is out of range. "What?" His tone is playful as Blake makes his way over to us.
"What are you two talking about?" Unlike us two who are dressed in all black, Blake has a white shirt underneath his holster and blazer, you can never be too weary. "You agreed to dads idea?" I ask as Blake joins the conversation, "I think it will be good for Kai, getting out of New York did you good. It'll do him some good too."
