Introduction:
There's a new year party at Grimmauld Place. Everyone's invited - including Snape, Lucius, Y/N, Laura and Vera. They all have a good time as they celebrate the new year.

At Grimmauld Place, the Weasleys, Harry and Hermione are helping Sirius Black with decorating for the new year. They are going to celebrate with lots of food, lots of dessert and lots of drinks.
Yes, there will be firewhiskey on the table tonight - however, Mrs. Weasley and Narcissa will surely keep an eye on the teenagers. That's right, the Malfoys are invited - so is Snape, Y/N, Laura, Vera, Luna, Neville, Dumbledore, Lupin and McGonagall.
As the decorating comes to an end, Harry looks around. "Won't this be a bit too much?" he asks as he gestures to the room. There are decorations EVERYWHERE.
"It's only new year once a year, Harry" Ginny says as she helps Hermione with putting a new year banner up over the couches in the living room.
Shrugging, Harry heads to the dining room to see if Mrs. Weasley needs help. As he does so, he immediately hears her scolding someone.
"No, Sirius! The dessert is after dinner" she says as she puts her hands on her hips, a stern look on her face.
Black sighs. "Just a little taste-" he says as he's about to take a bite. He's however stopped in time.
"No! AFTER dinner!" she says sternly as she swats away his hand.
"Fine" Black mutters under his breath as he leaves the dining room.
He spots his Godson at the doorframe. "Oh, hello, Harry. I was just helping Molly..." he says, grinning.
Harry shakes his head, laughing at his Godfather. "I'm sure you were. I take it she doesn't need any help?" he asks.
Black shakes his head. "No, everything is more or less ready. Where are Ron and the twins?" he questions as he can tell from where they are standing that the three hoys aren't in the living room.
"Oh, they are upstairs, preparing the party hats. And probably other party equipment as well" Harry says, having an idea that the twins are preparing something loud. Probably to annoy Snape which he knows Laura will join in on.
He almost feels bad for his Potions Master. Just almost, though.
Just then, the guests arrive as a scream can be heard. Black sighs. "I will greet the guests if you make her shut up" he says, referring to the lady in the painting.
Harry laughs. "Sure" the boy simply says as he heads over to the painting and silences it.
As he does so, Black greets the guests. "Welcome! And happy new year!" he says as he smiles.
"Happy new year, Padfoot" Lupin says as he smiles back, hugging his friend. They all then enter, hanging up their coats.
Black notices something familiar on Lucius' shoulder.
"Really? Did you bring the peacock with you again?" he questions, raising an eyebrow. He remembers how the Pureblood Slytherin brought the peacock with him at the Christmas party.
Lucius huffs. "Of course I did, Cindy wanted to come along. Isn't that right, my little friend?" he asks as he pets the baby peacock who isn't so little anymore.
She's growing up way too fast for his liking - Lucius truly is a peacock dad.
"Right... Anyway, dinner should be ready soon" Black says as he gestures to the dining room.
