We'll Be Fine

Chapter Three: When I Look At You

Hope's POV:

I woke up next to Lizzie. She had this peacefully smile on her face and I couldn't help but let it reach me. The way the light was reflecting against her pale skin and the steadiness in her breathing. I've never seen Lizzie in this light before. She reminds me a lot of what peace felt like. I was snapped out of my thoughts when her phone rang. I happened to look at the name and my heart sank. I almost felt like I was the one cheating. Lizzie woke up slowly and went to grab her phone. I panicked and used my wolf speed to get out of there.

I ran as fast as I could to get as far away from there as I could. I made it to breakfast and decided to eat a little before getting some for Lizzie seeing as neither of us ate anything last night. I grabbed her some fruit and a smoothie, a pancake and a little bit of the special bacon she really likes. I grabbed everything and headed back to Lizzie's room. I knocked and there was no answer so I went in. To my worst fear, there was Josie and Lizzie using there video chat crystals. Josie looked over at me and the sadness was ever present on her face.

"Um.. I'm sorry to walk in on yall but I got you breakfast since they almost ran out of your favorites so.. here you go. I'll go now.." I said and turned to leave when Josie spoke. "Wait.. Hope. I'm sorry. I just..." She started but I cut her off. "It's fine. Don't worry about it. I'm good. You have fun in Paris and I'll be here looking after Lizzie like you asked. It was nice seeing you and Lizzie don't worry, I'm fine. Just talk to your sister and I'll see myself out. Have a good talk ladies." I said as I made it out the room. I took a minute to catch my breathe seeing as Josie managed to knock it clean out of me. The anger was back in full swing so I decided to head to the gym to train. I needed a distraction.

Lizzie's POV:

After Hope left, Josie watched the door. I was irritated at the fact that she did say anything that she could of or tell her that it wasn't her fault. She choked, just like when she was supposed to tell Hope that her and Penelope were screwing behind her back. Hope would never tell Josie how she made her feel so maybe it's time Josie realizes what she actually did to Hope.

"You know... Hope really does love you. She blames herself for what you did to her. She thinks she wasn't worth it and that she wasn't good enough for you. She spent the night crying to me about what if or how she could of done something, anything different that could of made you choice her. You really broke her, not just her heart. She trusted you, she loved you, she let you in and you did the one thing she never would of done to you. Josie you're my sister but this one is on you. You had everything anyone could of wanted right in front of you, waiting and you let her go. You gave her up for Penelope, Penelope fucking Parks. Josie. Just think about what you actually want to say to her before you even think about talking to her again. Shes trying to fix everything you broke so give her time please. I can only do so much before she... you know.." I told her. She looked away with tears in her eyes. I felt bad in a way but not enough to take back what I said. She needed to hear it and Hope would never in a million years tell her what she actually did to her.

Josie eventually hung up about two hours later. We talked about everything and then I talked to my mom for a little but it was now 2 in the afternoon and Hope hasn't come back. I got out of bed and got dressed before heading to find her. I passed Landon and Rafeal in the hallway. "Hey. Have you guys happened to see Hope lately?" I asked them and Landon looked at Rafeal. Rafeal awkwardly laughed before pointing to the gym. "Just be careful. She's um.. she lost it in there. It looks like a war zone and I don't think she's done yet. Just be careful. She seems like she's going to transform any minute." He told me before patting me on the back and leaving.

Damn it, Hope, I thought as I sped walked to the gym as quick as I could. Hope was a loose canon right now and we cannot afford to have an emotionally unstable Tribrid on the campus. I opened the doors to the gym and to my surprise, it had been completely destroyed. Multiple punching bags were broken and the gear was all over the place. Hope was hiding in the corner of the gym and I seen blood coming from her mouth.
