Chapter Eleven: Dancing Away With My Heart

Lizzie's POV:

I woke up this morning and Hope was still next to me. I had to make sure she was real first and when she indeed was real, I smiled as she slept peacefully. I was facing her now and I knew she could sense me staring. "Baby what do you want for breakfast?" She asked me with deep raspy voice. I felt myself getting excited again but decided to give her a ran for her money. "I really want breakfast from Paris babe. I haven't had it in a long time." I said, making sure I made it seem like I really wanted it. Hope sat up and stretch before looking over at me with a smile. "I'll be right back love. Don't move." She said as she threw on her sports bra and boxers. She took off running faster than I've ever seen her run before. Her body must be doing better but we just have to watch her because there could be some poison left in her system. 

I looked through my photos while Hope was gone. It's only been 10 minutes but still. I was looking at the one I took of her this morning while she was still sleeping peacefully. My phone was soon replaced with a bag of food from Paris and a very proud Hope. "Here you go baby. Breakfast from Paris." She said, kissing my forehead. "Thank you babe but I was just kidding. I could of settled for the food here." I said and she looked at me like I was crazy. "Liz, you do remember who I am right? I'm a Mikaelson. We don't settle and as long as you're my girl, neither will you. I got you." She said and I thought I was going to pass out. I don't think she realized what she said but it made my heart flatter at the thought of actually being her girl. I'm fucked. 

I ate the food she bought for me and it was amazing. She even got me my favorite coffee. I have a feeling she stopped by my mom's before ordering everything. I laughed at the thought Hope showing up there and my mom just being happy to see her. Hope had to go talk to my dad about something seeing as he called her over the intercoms. Oh my god was she mad. It was very sexy. I didn't really have anything to do today so I think I'm just going to chill in here. I was listening to music and scrolling through my snapchat when Josie came barging in. "Hi, yes sister, sure you can come in. Thank you for knocking and asking. Hope could of been naked or I could of been naked Jo. Knock next time." I told her before I went back to what I was doing. "It's nothing I haven't already seen. We were raised together and me and Hope dated so there is nothing I haven't seen." Jo said laughing. That actually made me jealous knowing that my sister knows what my soon to be possible girlfriend looks like naked. I shook my head and let it go. 

Me and Josie sat in silence while my music kept playing in the background. Snapchat got boring so I texted Hope to see if she was ok and she answered almost immediately saying she was and that my dad needed some help organizing the dance which is in a week. Typical of him. Josie got a call and stepped into outside. When she came back in, she had a crazy grin on her face. "Get dressed. Me and you have somewhere to be as of now so let's go. No I can't tell you and yes, it's Hope. Let's go." She said before throwing Hope's shirt at me and my jeans from the other night. I got ready and Josie would not stop bouncing around on her feet. She was really excited about something. 

After blindfolding me and dragging me around campus it felt like, she finally took the blindfold off and I almost cried. The entire dinning hall was turned into a question. It took me a minute to read it because I was in shock. Hope was standing in the middle of the words with flowers in one hand and a box in the other. I felt like this was a dream and I'm going to wake up any minute. I closed my eyes tight before slowly opening them and to my genuine surprise it was real. Hope walked up the stairs and stopped on the step before where I was standing. "I know this is probably the most dramatic thing I have ever done but I put my heart into everything for you. I know this hasn't been the easiest time for you with me but I wanted to make this as special as I could for you. There's two questions down there but seeing as you're either really surprised or about to shut down everything, I'll just ask you right here with my words which I am not very good with but here goes everything. Lizzie I love you, I'm in love with you. I don't know how it happened or what made me realize it but you are my favorite person and I don't know where I would be if you weren't by my side, as a friend, more than that, anything. You got me there a lot and you always made sure that I didn't sacrifice myself to the point of not coming back. That was one time everyone, let it go." I said and everyone even Lizzie herself laughed. "Point of all of this is to show you that I want this with you more than I have ever wanted anything before. You are it for me Elizabeth Saltzman. So after all is said and done, I was wondering if you would make the happiest person in this entire school and give me a chance to love you the way you have loved me all this time. Will you be mine?" I asked and the room went silent.
