Hope's POV:

California was a blast. We all had fun and Lizzie even got a slight tan from it. It's been a week since we came back and today was the day. Today Lizzie takes my last name and we become a whole. I was nervous seeing as I haven't seen her since last night. I'm not allowed to see her until she comes down the isle and I don't think I'm going to be able to keep myself together. Kol got his wish and he would be officiating the wedding. Josie and Caroline were with Lizzie while Jade was with me. Rebekah and Freya were fighting over who was going to walk me to my place. "Both of you are. Share the honor like Elijah and my dad did for you Freya. Now shut up so I can not throw up everywhere." I said to them and Jade laughed.

"5 minutes till places everyone. Is everyone ready to get married?" I heard Kol ask as he went around getting us ready. I felt like the air was knocked out of my chest. Woah. I quickly grabbed the wall causing the three arguing idiots behind me to actually pay attention to me. "Hey you alright?" Jade asked as she slid my arm over her head and around her neck. I nodded because I couldn't speak. This was like proposing all over again. Get it together Hope. This is one of the biggest days of your life and you will not screw this up. I said to myself as I got myself ready to walk out. "You ready for your big moment kid?" Freya said as she held my left hand. "Yeah, I am. I just know I'm going to lose it when she walks down that isle to me." I said as Rebekah grabbed my other hand. "You got this little one. We got you. It's time." She said and we headed out.

I made it to my position and a short 3 minutes later, Lizzie was on her way with her mom and dad escorting her. I wish my parents were here to see this but I know they're up there cheering us on. I looked up at the sky to keep the tears from falling but as soon as I looked back to the isle, there she was. Her parents on either side of her. I covered my mouth to cover the fact that I just started sobbing. I tried holding it together but the way she looked in that dress. I couldn't. "She looks beautiful Hope." Kol said and I nodded, agreeing with him. I extended my hand out for her to take while Kol asked who was giving her away. Both of her parents said them and we started.

Kol made a whole speech about this being a true love story and how he couldn't be happier to have her in the family now. "Now time for your vows. Hope." He said and I laughed lightly. "I have never been very good with words and I probably never will be but bear with me here. Lizzie, you are the whole reason for all of this. I have loved you for what feels like my entire life. You are my person, the other half of me that I didn't think I would find. You saved me more than anyone here and you continue to do it with a smile on your face. You gave me a reason to come back and to fight the consequence of things I didn't do. You are my whole heart and without you, there would be no me. You're my saving grace, my hail mary if you will. I love you and I can't wait to spend the rest of my life loving you like it was the first time. You look amazing tonight by the way. I vow to always put you first and never let you believe for a second I'd be happier anywhere else than with you. I vow to protect our family now till the day the air leaves my lungs and to never return. I vow to love you like you love me, all day, every day and without questions. I promise to always be here and have your back like you've always had mine. I love you baby." I said and I watched the tears fall from her eyes.

"Lizzie?" Kol asked and she smiled at me. I felt my heart jump a few beats as she said her vows. "I wanted these vows to be perfect, but perfection is a hard thing to get your hands on. But life is meant to be a little messy, and when it comes to love I think it's like my dad always said about the school: You only sign up if it's the only thing you could ever imagine doing. Hope, I cannot imagine spending a moment of my life without you. I promise that I will always have your back, as you will always have mine. You're my best friend, you're my home, and you are my true love, and I am yours and will be forever." She said keeping it sweet and simple. I smiled as Kol asked, "Hope, do you take Elizabeth to be your lawfully wedded wife, for better or worse, for in sickness and in health?" I smiled brightly. "I do." I said as I watched Lizzie's smile grow as much as it could. "Elizabeth, do you take Hope to your lawfully wedded wife, for better or for worse, for in sickness and in health?" He asked her and she nodded. "I do." She said while we put the rings on each other's fingers. "By the power vested in me from some five-minute registry, I now pronounce you wife and wife. You may kiss the bride." Kol said as everyone cheered and clapped. We smiled at each other before I pulled in her into me and kissed her, leaning back.
