Josie's POV:

Ever since Jade has been back, I've realized that I still have that school girl crush on her. We spent last night together. Nothing happened. We just talked and fell asleep. Did I wish something happened? Yes but it's ok. In a way, I'm still nursing the whole situation with Hope and Lizzie. It was six in the morning and Jade had left about half an hour ago to go to the gym with Hope and the others. I laid in bed for a while thinking about how I feel about everything. I had gotten so deep into my mind that I almost didn't notice Hope standing at the foot of my bed. "Ahh! What the hell Hope? Why didn't you knock?" I asked a little scared because I didn't know she had came in. "I did knock. I've been knocking for the last ten minutes. Get up. You have training." She said firmly. I looked at her confused. "I thought you said I wasn't allowed to be there?" I asked her. "Your sister is very convincing so now I have to get you and her ready for tomorrow night." She said rolling her eyes. I laughed before getting up and getting dressed in my gym clothes.

We walked in silence to the garden area behind the school. Lizzie and Cleo were both waiting on us. The work out was the easy part but the spells and actually fighting kicked my ass. Lizzie and Cleo looked the same as I did. Tired and defeated. Hope gave us ten minutes to get water and recover before we try it again. We all sat on the ground and relaxed but Hope was gone. I looked over at Lizzie and she was staring off into the woods. I followed her line of sight and Hope was walking further away from us. "Why is Hope so obsessed with being the one to kill Clarke?" I asked her. Without taking her eyes off of where Hope was going, she said, "He killed the little Hope rescued. They were attacked by two supercharged vamps that Clarke sent after Hope and the little sacrificed herself to protect Hope." I was in shock. It all makes sense now. I mean it made sense before but now it was perfectly clear.

Lizzie's POV:

After I answered Jo's question, I got up and went after Hope. I know where she went but I want to make sure she's ok. This is hard on her and the whole school can see that. It wasn't too long before she was in my sights again. She was talking to the makeshift grave she made for Malia. "I will have your revenge. He will not walk this earth any longer. You have my word. I may have failed to protect you while you were with me but I will not fail to avenge you. I miss you everyday kid. I hope you're resting in peace and that you no longer feel the way you felt that night. I'm so sorry I failed you..." She said as she laid her hand against the tree that had her name craved in it. "The monster that took you away from me will pay for this.. I promise.. I love you Malia." She said before kissing the tree where her name was and it broke my heart. That little girl meant the world to her, anyone with two eyes could see that. This was personal.

Hope eventually noticed me and broke down in my arms. I've never seen her cry like this so it scared me a little but I put on a brave front. She needs me right now. I held her in my arms until she was able to pull herself together. I wiped the remaining tears off of her face before we headed back to training. We worked on some spells that will help us protect ourselves and we trained a lot with weapons. No one got hurt which was a good thing. Three hours later and we were done. There was nothing else for us to do besides wait it out. Josie and Cleo went to help set up the dance seeing as we still have to make it seem like a normal day even though we know, tomorrow could be the end of us.

Hope disappeared to work out and check on the others. I went to the dining hall and helped set up the decorations. Josie and Jade were talking very closely over in the corner. Those two are totally going to hook up after this is all over. I smiled as I could see just how happy Jo is around her so I'll support it until I have a reason not to. Once the decorating was done and everything looked ready for tomorrow, we all headed to our rooms seeing as training today took a lot of all of us. I was walking back to my room with Hope when I heard loud music and it smelled like pure sweat. I opened the door and there was Hope, shirtless and sweaty, doing pull ups. I watched for a few minutes and wow. She literally looks like a God. "You could just take another picture. It always last longer. She said as she got down and smiled at me. I rolled my eyes and closed the door behind me.
