Hope's POV:

It's been about a month now and we have this year's dance coming up tonight. I know Lizzie wants to go and since I made my friends miss it before, I bought everyone a ticket before they were announced a week ago. Caroline told me it was thoughtful. I shrugged it off. I just wanted to make that night right. I planned on asking Lizzie tonight when I give her a couple things that I got her while I was away all those times. I had most of them spelled with protection by the Halliwell sisters and Freya and Kol. I had one spelled that will tell me when and where she's in trouble but only when she's in trouble. One was my necklace from Rebekah. She actually had it spelled for protection. I had got her this beautiful ring that had her birthstone in it with an engraved band with the date we first started hanging out without Josie around. That was the first time I ever saw her as her and not just Josie's twin sister. It was a promise ring that I'm giving her with a note that will explain what it is a lot better than my words would. I was given this diamond bracelet that was too tight for me and that was the one that was spelled to tell me when she's in trouble. The sisters gave me that and told me they did the spell on it. I also got her flowers and our tickets to prom. That was a lot, but she was worth it.

She had left at 4 to go help Josie with some class she was close to failing. It didn't make sense to me since Josie had the highest marks in the school but whatever. I got myself and that rooftop in New Orleans ready in the meantime. I love being able to run so fast. It really helps on nights like this. By the time I got everything done and ready to go, I raced to get my clothes on. I had literally five minutes to get across the school to meet Lizzie. I tripped on almost everything on the way there. I need to get myself together or I'll never make it to New Orleans. I eventually calmed down and softly knocked on the door with the flowers behind my back. Lizzie opened the door and wow, she looked absolutely beautiful. She had a simple blue sundress on that made her eyes shine brightly. "You look beautiful love." I said in a British accent that she loved from some reason. She blushed and I handed her the flowers to which she smelled and gave to Josie to put in water. I grabbed her hand and we headed out. "Use protection!" Josie and Jade yelled causing us to laugh.

We walked to the tree line and she looked at me smiling. I kind of regret agreeing to race her there. We had been training together for a little while now and she was good, I mean really good. She's teaching me a thing or two. "You ready to lose Mikaelson?" She asked before getting ready to run. I laughed a little at how she was already getting competitive. "Depends on what I have to lose." I said before tightening my boots a little. "If I win, you don't get to touch me for 24 hours." She said and I stared at her. "And if I win?" I asked, standing up. "If you win, you can do whatever you want to me tonight... wherever..." She said as she stepped closer to me. Wow. She's really sexy when she's trying to win. "Deal. Ready?" I asked and she nodded, getting in the spot she was before. "1... 2... 3..." I counted and we took off. She had a better start than I did but I was able catch up. We raced side by side till we reached the building to which I climbed up the side of and she ran through. We literally got there at the same time.

"That was a lot of fun." She said as we took in the view. It was just like the last time but a bit cooler due to the bad storm we had the other day. I pulled her chair out for her and helped her get comfortable. I sat across from her and we ate the food I technically bought. She doesn't seem to care tho. We ate in silence but once we finished, I took our plates and moved them. I put the box with the note on the table and slid it to her. She looked at me confused before opening it. You could see the tears forming as she read the note. By the time she finished the letter, she was in full blown tears. She tried to wipe them away but she couldn't fast enough. She smiled at me and nodded. She accepted my promise and the ring. I gave her a minute to recover before giving her the bracelet and my necklace back. I helped her put it all on and we just talked. It was normal, normal to us at least.
