We'll Be Fine

Chapter Fifteen: This Is War

Hope's POV:

Lizzie and I sat on those bleachers for the remaining hours we had left. It was now 30 minutes till show down and the guest were arriving fast. Security was in place and the adults were on edge. The time was coming and the sky was turning red. It was time to move. Everyone followed my lead as we basically marched to the field. I stood in the front, Josie and Lizzie were next to me, Rafeal, Jed, the wolves, and the supersquad were behind them. Jade and her group were next to us on the right. Rain was starting to fall and we could see them coming through the tree line. Clarke was smiling and his army was at least half bigger than us but we had more power. We had each other. We all met about halfway in the field. There was distance between us. 

"I see you brought your friends tonight Hope!" Clarke yelled. "I see you brought yours!" I yelled back. Most of them were regular vampires but there were two supercharged vampires. "You will never stop me Hope!" He yelled and I laughed. "Try me Clarke!" I yelled and in an instant he charged me. "Now!" I yelled and everyone started fighting. Clarke managed to grab me but when he went to slam me on my back, he left himself open for the perfect take down. I grabbed his arm as hard as I could to free myself then used all the power I had to slam him down. I held him down but before I could do anything, I heard someone yell "Hope! Behind you!" I used my vamp speed to quickly snap the vampires neck. I looked around and I noticed Freya was out here now along with Rebekah. Marcel brought a few of his people out and were helping everyone. 

I was looking at Josie when I got grabbed. "You never turn your back to your enemies." Clarke said viciously. "You do when you know how to kill them." I said back before I shoving him off of me. We went blow for blow. Both of us were bleeding bad. It was our bloods mixing that made it harder to heal ourselves. I was able to bite into Clarke's neck but he was able to throw me off of him. I hit the ground hard. It knocked the wind out of me and I couldn't get any in. "Hope!" I head Lizzie yell. My attention was pulled away from her when Clarke grabbed my throat and squeezed. I really couldn't breathe now. I couldn't fight anymore. I was done. I look back over at Lizzie and that's when I seen the supercharged vampire getting ready to kill her. I used all the strength I had to stop Clarke from stabbing me with the red oak stake and get his hand loose enough. "Lizzie look out!" I screamed as loud as I could and Marcel noticed, running after the vampire but he was too slow. I heard Lizzie scream and I lost it. I grabbed the white oak out of my waist band and shoved it as hard as I could into Clarke's ribs. I flipped him off of me and pulled it, driving it through his heart and running as fast as I could to Lizzie. 

"Lizzie!" I yelled. I slide to where Marcel was holding her and seen he stabbed her in her throat. I pulled the blade out and wrapped what remained of my shirt around it.  "No! Lizzie! Just hold on! I promised you! Give her to me Marcel." I yelled causing him to handed her over to me. I picked her up, looking around. The war was won but at what cost? I took off and ran into Dr. S's office. "Caroline! Alaric!" I yelled as I busted through the doors. "Oh my god.. Lizzie? Lizzie! What happened to her?" Alaric and Caroline yelled as they looked at us and I know Josie was going to be running in any minute. "A supercharged vampire stabbed her in the neck before anyone could get to her. What do we do?" I asked as I listened to hear heartbeat. It was fading. "I'm giving her my blood. It will heal her. We have no time for anything else." I said as I bit my wrist and went to put it to her lips. Dr. Saltzman stopped me. I looked at him. "What are you doing? You could turn her into a vampire?" He asked. "I'm trying to save your daughter, Josie's sister, my girlfriend. Let me save her!" I said almost begging. He looked at Caroline who grabbed his hand off of my arm. She nodded and I dropped all the blood I could. She didn't drink it at first but she eventually swallowed it. I heard her heartbeat fade as she died. "Come on Lizzie... Fight it. I know you can. Come back to me.. please come back to me.." I pleaded as I held her hand against my chest and laid my head on hers. "You have to fight.. I'm sorry.. I'm so sorry Lizzie.. I tried.. I tried so hard and I never meant for this to happen.. you have to come back to me now, ok? You have to come back to me.." I pleaded with her as I cried into her chest. I could hear Caroline crying and Alaric silently praying that this works. I slowly calmed my breathe and listened to her heart once more and there was a small beat. I listened for a little while longer and sure enough, her heartbeat was back.
