We'll Be Fine

Chapter Four: Capsize

Hope's POV:

Fuck. Where am I and how did I get here? Who's next to me and where the hell did my clothes go? Matter of a fact, why is Lizzie naked too? Wait, fuck me. We didn't do what I think we did right? Yeah, there's no way, she's jo's sister. What have I actually done? I gently shook my head and got up, untangling myself from her without waking her up. I quickly got half dressed and headed downstairs to where the food smell was coming from. I walked down the stairs and as soon as I came into her view, she started laughing. "Couldn't even give it a month or two and it was her sister, twin sister to add to that. Hope, what were you thinking?" Rebekah said and asked as I rolled my eyes and sat down at the island where the food was. "Listen, I don't even fully remember what happened and I don't think she will either unless she does then we'll figure out where to go from there. I didn't mean for it to happen but I really can't say I regret it. i just hope she doesn't leave me or that it's awkward between us, you know. You could be helpful and give me some advice here that I can actually use or you can make fun of me and I'll call Aunt Freya and have her help me. So will you help me?" I said and she laughed some more before getting serious. 

"You need to figure this out on your own with Lizzie. You two were the ones involved. All I can say is if she slept with you the way I heard last night, thanks for that by the way. I couldn't sleep until you two were done. You need to consider her feelings in this just as much as your own. I seen it last night but that girl in your bed upstairs is in love with you. Seems like she has been for awhile. Just talk to her, hear her out and go from there. She's coming now so good luck, I love you and if she leaves here earlier than planned without you, I will kick your ass all the way back to Mystic Falls so you can make it right, you hear me?" She said causing me to nod as she turned back to cooking. 

"Goodmorning." Lizzie said as she sat next to me. I took in her appearance and you could clearly see that we totally did it last night. She had one of my shirts on and an old pair of my boxers that I love. I have to admit that she looks amazing and they were not kidding about the after morning glow. She looked absolutely stunning. "Hope close your mouth. It's not polite to stare at your guest like that." My aunt said before laughing and heading back up to her room to eat while we ate in the kitchen. I flipped her off which only made her laugh more. I shook my head and noticed that Lizzie's face was bright red. "Hey.. so I was wondering.. do you remember what happened last night?" I asked softly, not wanting to freak her out. She smiled softly and looked at me. You could see it in her eyes, she was happy but there was a lot of fear behind it. "I remember and I just want to say before you ask, no I don't regret it and yes I'm fully aware that it will never happen again. I know you're still in love with Jo and that's fine. This doesn't have to change anything." She said, looking away from me. There it was, the fear I seen. It was because of Josie and me. 

"It's a little too late for it not to change anything. It's already changed a lot. I'm not going to lie to you and tell you a whole bunch of stuff to make this more complicated. Yes, I am still in love with Josie but that doesn't mean I don't feel some way about you because I do. I don't know what it is exactly but I know that being your friend has become ten times more interesting. There's a lot that comes with me and with me being the one and only Tribrid that carries a lot of responsibility that I don't want to become the founding of this, whatever it may turn into. All I really know is last night, you made me feel human and whole and that I wasn't as worthless as I thought I was. I like you Liz, I do but we should take our time and see where this goes on its own. This wasn't just a rebound one night stand. There's something here, you know it and I know it. So what do you say?" I said, watching as she listened to everything I said and taking it in. 

"I would like to see where this goes but we should keep this a secret between us and Rebekah because I don't want Josie going nuclear if she were to find out before either of us are ready. Our little secret, ok?" She said and I smiled, nodding my head yes. She smiled back and grabbed my hand softly. We locked eyes and in that moment, the entire world faded to the background and all I could focus on was her. I watched her softly bite her lip before leaning in to kiss me. I met her halfway and we made out. Breakfast was soon forgotten as we stumbled back upstairs to finish what we started last night. Her hands roamed my body as I did the same to her. I found myself craving more and more of her. I needed her and so I took it. I picked her up again and she wrapped her legs around my waist, making it to my room. I kicked the door shut and reached behind me, locking the door. I kissed her neck softly before laying her down on my bed causing her to throw her head back.
