Hope's POV:
This was amazing. I can't believe the three of them were able to pull this off without me finding out. I was genuinely surprised by just how many people showed up but then again, it's a party. We party a lot here. There was a lot of alcohol being passed around and I was almost drunk enough to stop but I have this urge to drink until I black out which is normal how it goes. Mia and I had been dancing for a while before she said she was going to go do something real quick. I didn't really care what she did at this moment because the alcohol made everything feel great. Jade and Josie came out and danced with me for a few songs until they wanted to disappear for the night. I didn't even stop them because I seen the look they were sharing and that's all I needed to leave.
It had been a little bit since Mia had left so I went to find her. I checked everywhere except upstairs in the old mill building. I could hear moaning and I knew for sure someone was getting it but when I seen who it was, I sobered up quick. There was some kid I never met and my girlfriend doing it. I seen all I needed to see and walked away. I went and found three bottles of whiskey. I drank one fast and tossed it when I was done. I chugged the first half of the second bottle when I felt it hit me hard. I need to talk to Josie or Jade or both but I have no idea where they went so I just went to Jo's room. I knocked on the door very sloppy as I could barely see two feet in front of me without it blurring. I leaned against the door while I waited for an answer. There wasn't one at first so I knocked a bit louder this time and I almost fell on my face when the door swung open.
A very aggravated Lizzie stood in front of me. "Woah..." I said while catching myself on her doorframe. I closed my eyes tight for a minute to get the room to stop spinning. I opened my eyes slowly before looking right at her. I took a huge gulp of the bottle I was working on finishing, and I could feel her burning holes into my face. I swallowed and wiped my mouth before giving my attention back to her. "I'm sorry... I'm looking for Jo... I saw something that really hurt and I'm kinda fucked up right now... Do you happen to know where I can find her or Jade or literally any one of my friends?" I asked, slurring every word. I could see the worry on her face. "Uh no I don't. I know everyone's at the party which I'm guessing you just came from." She said and I nodded with a bright smile which caused her to laugh a little. I felt something in my chest when she did. "I guess I'll go see if I can find... I don't know... I don't really have that many friends left... I'm sorry to bother you..." I said before stumbling back from the door. I managed to catch myself, but I felt a hand wrap around my forearm. I looked over and saw Lizzie holding it. "Just... come in and stay here till you're sober enough to make it to your room. Jo and Jade should be back soon..." She said before gently pulling me into her room. Oh god, was all I could think.
I sat on Lizzie's bed, and I finished the second bottle in no time. She watched as I went to grab the third bottle to which she snatches out of my hand. "Heyyy no fair. Give me that backkkk." I whined as she held the bottle out of my reach. I tried to get it, but she was a lot faster than I was at the moment. I eventually gave up and she opened it, taking a huge drink before passing it back to me. I looked at her in amazement. I have never seen her drink like that but then again, she hasn't seen me like this before either. We sat there for a few minutes just letting her music that was playing in the background fill the silence between us. I looked at her and I smiled. I don't know why but seeing her face right now made me happy. She looked at me weird and shoved me. I knew she was a little drunk but nowhere near what I was. I raised my eyebrow at her and she laughed. I smiled before poking her in the stomach causing her to punch me, still laughing. We locked eyes for a second and in that moment, I knew I wasn't going to make it back to my room tonight.
Lizzie's POV:
I was laying in my bed, listening to music while everyone went to the party. Rafeal and Josie had invited me but I just wasn't feeling it. Partying isn't exactly my idea of fun pre say. I was really into the song that was playing when I heard someone knock on the door. I didn't answer at first, hoping they would just go but that didn't happen. They knocked again but this time, it was loud enough to make me jump a little. I got up aggravated and swung the door open. Hope almost fell into the room but caught herself before she did. "Woah... " She said as she closed her eyes for a minute. I was a little worried because I knew she was really drunk. Once she was able to see in a sort of straight line, she asked me if I knew where Jade and Josie were. I said no and that I could tell that's where she came from. She gave the goofiest smile which made me laugh a little. She looked over at me when I did and I swore for a second her eyes flashed bright green. She said she was going to leave but as she went to step away from the door, she stumbled. Out of instinct, I grabbed her arm and stabilized her. She looked at me and I knew I couldn't let her roam the school in this shape. She could quite literally hurt herself or someone else if she isn't careful.
