Erin POV

I'm in bed, I can hear Daryl he took my advice that he could come and go as he feels. I think I'll offer him breakfast.

"Good morning Daryl. Wow, I knew you were good but I didn't expect this, you'll be finished soon. I hope you realize we won't be leaving for about ten days give or take."

"Why? I thought when this was finished we would be out there."

"I only go out at certain times."

"Why aren't you out all the time?"

"I get more walkers at certain times they can smell me and I don't like the risk so I leave it until when I'm ready."

"Smell you? Oh okay, that's cool we will go when you are ready."

"Yeah, it's a risk I'm not willing to take. It's bad enough I'm a woman out there thanks. I'm making breakfast, did you want something?"

"Yeah, that would be good."

"Okay, I'll come to collect you when it's ready." I turn and leave the garage.

Daryl POV

Earlier that morning...

I couldn't sleep I tossed and turned my cock was so hard I was thinking of Erin of seeing her naked, wondering what she looks like, what her legs would feel wrapped around my hips, what her lips would taste like. I actually rubbed one out to her haven't done that since we were in the prison and I was thinking of Beth, ah I shouldn't be thinking of Beth and Erin it's so wrong I shouldn't be having these feelings I should be mourning the loss of Beth I failed her I don't wanna fail another girl. I got up to clean myself up, I came back to bed.

"Daryl? You okay?"

"Yeah Carol."

"Is something wrong?"

"I don't know."

"I know this place is all wrong."

"Not all of it Carol, some of it is good."

"Oh, so that's where you ended up last night, at her place."

"It wasn't like that. She invited me to dinner with her brother."

"And what happened? I know something happened you were quieter when you got home, even for you and that's saying something."

"She made me an offer I think I'm going to take her up on it."

"To sleep with her? I wouldn't have guessed she was slutty."

"No not like that she wants me to help her bring others in like she brought us here."

"That's good then you could control who comes in."

"Yeah like I would have a say. But I don't think my opinion matters. I don't deserve to look after someone else, I'll just fail her like I failed Beth."

"Really then why would she want you if she didn't value your opinion why would she have you with her. You didn't fail Beth she made her choice a wrong choice it wasn't your fault Daryl you shouldn't feel guilty."

"True, well I do. I was supposed to protect Beth and I didn't. I'm gonna go for a walk."

"Be safe Daryl."

"Always Carol." I got up and left the house I have the garage door controller in my pocket she said I could come by anytime so I guess now is okay. I opened the door and turn the light on, I don't wanna disturb them they are probably sleeping.

"Ah shit Daryl I thought I was you but I wasn't sure."

"I'm sorry I didn't mean to wake you up. I'll go home leave you two alone and come back again when you're awake."

"No, if Erin gave you that key, this means she trusts you, you don't know my sister but she never trusts men, but she trusts you."

"Why? I'm not worth her trust, she doesn't know me. I'll just hurt her every girl that comes near me gets hurt or worse."

"She's in tune with her feelings, we both are but she just feels you are decent."

"I'm not."

"Yeah, you are you wouldn't say that if you weren't, you just don't know it, Daryl. You'll see we will grow on you."

"I'm not that way inclined I don't do guys."

"Yeah, I know damn shame you're not bad on the eyes. Hey if you go out there bring me back someone okay."

"When was the last time you had someone?"

"I don't remember before all this happened I had a boyfriend but he died."

"Damn I thought I was bad, me too I mean I liked some girls before I never made a move look at me, it's not exactly easy in this time to find someone."

"That's why when you do, you have to keep it safe from harm. Protect it. Have you seen yourself Daryl if you were gay I would climb you like a tree." I had to laugh at that.

"Yeah, I get you. I better get started on this. I try but I fail all the time trying to protect people."

"Yeah, I'll leave you in peace. Night Daryl. Daryl you know you'll feel a lot better when you forgive yourself, it opens you up to new possibilities."

Present-day...

I watched Erin walk away she's in shorts and a Fleetwood Mac shirt, good taste girl. Damn she's got nice legs I thought she might have but I wasn't sure then I notice it the scars, there are scars on her legs they look W's it can't be like the walkers. I need to ask her about them.

"Daryl? Breakfast is ready if you want it." Of course, I do, I wanna eat what she offers, dammit that sounds so wrong. "Sit enjoy, I hope you like pancakes and strawberries?"

"I love strawberries it's one of my favorite smells."

"Me too, I make my own soap using the strawberries I grow out the back have quite a little farm out there. I wish I had a chicken we do have them here but you only get like four eggs a month so that's like one a week it does suck I wanna cook but so much requires eggs."

"You talk a lot you know."

"Yeah, and you don't so I probably talk enough for both of us."

"Probably." I smiled at her, she smiled at me. I thanked her for breakfast and I was done for the day. I felt the urge to go hunting, I wanted something for Erin I don't know what but something.

Erin POV

Later that day...

"Ah, Erin you gotta see this sis."

"What?"

"I think you have a fan?"

"What are you on about?" I walked to the door on my doorstep was a dead rabbit and squirrel. "That's so sweet."

"That's so gross sis."

"No, it's not. He's not flowers and candy kinda guy this means he thought of me. Little old me."

"Yeah, twenty sevenish is so old."

"Hey leave me alone."

"Never sis, I'll never leave you, sis." Eric hugs me. I'm gonna go find him and thank him it really is sweet that he did that, he could've kept them for his family. I decide to get changed and go to his place and knocked on the door it opens it was Carol.

"Hello, Erin."

"Hi, Carol isn't it?"

"How can I help you, Erin?"

"I was wondering if Daryl was home?"

"No, he's not, I'm not sure where he is."

"Oh okay. Can you tell him that I came around." I turn to leave.

"Sure. Erin?"

"Yeah Carol."

"He might look tough but he isn't don't hurt him."

"I know Carol I wouldn't it's not in my nature." I turn and walk away.
