Five years later.....

Erin POV

"Babe are you ready?"

"I look like a penguin Erin."

"A very sexy penguin."

"I can't believe our girl is having her first performance in the American ballet Company."

"Well she is that good babe also there isn't that many dancers around so she has that going for her. We have the most amazing kids."

"Well they do take after their mom. I think I lucked out in the husband stakes, got a sexy, hot, smart, funny, wife."

"Keep it coming I might get a big head over here."

"Mommy do I look pretty?"

"Jennifer you look beautiful." As she spins in her pink dress she's big on spinning.

"Babe you look like a princess."

"Thank you daddy." She gives Daryl a hug I love the relationship these two have, I hate that one day I'm going to that to tell her that Daryl isn't her biological dad it'll break her heart, probably break his as well.

"Babe you awake?"

"Yeah I was just thinking. Nothing important Daryl. Oh it is but we can talk about it later."

"Actually I know what it was about and it's okay we will tell her when the time is right it's not right yet."

"She's gonna be heartbroken when she finds out."

"No she won't I love her as much as I love all the kids I'm the only daddy she will ever know."

"I know and what a good daddy you are."

It's weird we are in Washington proper Washington, yeah it's not far from our home in Alexandria but it's still a trip and a big trip it is we only have four of our kids with us anymore they are slowly leaving the nest actually Hunter, Merlynn and Beth are all in university all doing amazingly well. And George is his own man working for his dad and living on his own.

Hunter is half way through his medical degree he wants to be a cardiologist to help people like me, I've been told I well eventually need a operation to repair the valves in my heart.

Merlynn won an art show a couple of weeks ago much to Travis's chagrin she beat his visual art piece.

Beth is writing up a storm she's been asking Daryl and I lots of questions and when we tell her about how we met she thinks it would make a good novel she's thinking of calling it Redneck Romance, I said she should call it Two Of A Kind, cause that's what we are thou there are times when we are different, he still doesn't talk as much as me, but there are times when we are so in sync together it's not funny, we just have to look at each other and yeah we know what the other is thinking.

"Babe you look beautiful but you always look beautiful to me."

"I know thank you babe."

I'm wearing a deep blue evening dress I don't think I've ever had something so pretty. Not since our wedding day.

"Mommy you look like a princess."

"Thank you are we ready?"

We left to go to the opera house Ignatius, Erica and Billy weren't overly interested in the ballet thou Ignatius did take an interest in the dancers, and Jennifer thought they were all princesses.

"Mom, dad kids you made it."

"Like we would miss our girl's big night."

"I think I fucked up I missed a turn."
