Chapter 26
Daryl POV
I woke up I had a horrible nights sleep I had terrible dreams of the kids being ripped apart by walkers and Erin trying to save them.
"Hey wake up big guy you were having a nightmare. Hey it's only a dream." I wake up startled.
"It felt so real."
"Come on let's go daylights a wasting."
I look around and I spot Eric's footprints again and we are off and running maybe not running not exactly easy with a forty pound crossbow in my arms but we do our best."
We shortly come across a campsite someone was here the fire they had the ashes are still warm so they haven't been gone long. I look around and I see their tracks. Then I see it I spot them my heart almost wants to jump outta my chest.
Erin POV
I slept terribly I missed Daryl I wanted his arms wrapped around me holding me. I've made such a stupid mistake. I need to see if he is okay? Maybe he survived he'd be going nuts if he did, he's probably out here looking for us.
"Oh god where's Shelley?" As I wake up with a start feeling around for my girl.
"Sis I have her. You looked uncomfortable and these two like being together so I've been playing big brave uncle Eric."
"We are going back, I need to know if Daryl survived if not I'll be asking myself constantly is he alive?"
"About fucking time you realised how stupid you've been."
"Shut up baby brother lets get a move on." I stamp out the fire and we are off I'm carrying Hunter I haven't carried him all day as I had Shelley yesterday. Then I hear a crack like something stepping on a branch. I look around I see nothing and pay no attention to it. Then again whatever it is it is heavy footed. I turn around again and there is the one thing I've wanted all this time, what I thought I'd lost.
"Oh my god!"
"What sis? Oh my god Aaron."
The next thing I see is Daryl running towards me he slams into Hunter and I and just hugs me and starts crying all I can do is hold him, hold his head and wait till it's out of his system.
"It's okay baby I'm here. I'm so sorry I got scared I thought you were dead I thought the town was destroyed."
"Shush shush hey you know the rules nothing can kill a Dixon but a Dixon."
"But it can something can kill you and I was scared I'm so sorry, I was coming back to see what happened." Just then Hunter starts crying.
"Did I hurt Hunter?"
"No his tough like his daddy."
"More like his mommy, you took out walkers while carrying a baby."
"Take us home Daryl I wanna go home." Just then I see Aaron and Eric making out it's very sweet.
"Come on babe I'll take you home."
It doesn't take long maybe a couple of hours to get back to Alexandria I think both Daryl and myself are going for badass parents of the year as we both have a baby strapped to our front, but I think Daryl wins cause he has a crossbow, a crossbow is just cooler.
"Halt! Who is it?" Cried the guard at the gate.
"Hey dumbass it's me Daryl, Erin, Aaron and Eric. Let us in." The next thing we see is the gate open up and we walk through I never thought I'd be back here I honestly thought it was gone.
"Okay you two I'm taking my man home and fuck the shit out of him, yeah literally he ain't gonna be able to walk straight for days."
"Hmmm you tease Aaron hit me with that big hard cock of yours." As they walk off toward their place.
"Argh that's really gross even for you two. I have babies here you know."
"Hey baby lets go home we can give them a run for their money. I bet I can fuck you just as good anyway we have more places we can."
"We need to go to the clinic first okay, there's something I need to get."
"Sure babe."
We walk to the clinic I see Rosita and she hugs me when she sees me.
"We thought we lost you guys when you didn't come back yesterday. I was gonna raid your closet. No only kidding what can I do for you?"
"Have you got anymore test kits?"
"You think you are? That's so cool."
"Maybe but hey what can you do? I cannot not sleep with my husband. Look at him." We both look at Daryl who's talking to Hunter.
"I guess but he's no Abraham but I can see why you do."
"Thanks please don't say anything okay?" As I walk out and go to up to Daryl and kiss him.
"Hey what was that for babe?"
"Isn't a wife allowed to kiss her husband?"
"Anytime babe whenever you want."
"Take me home babe. Take me home."
