Daryl POV 

I walked up the steps and entered the clinic. Erin was asleep she looked so peaceful her hand was on her belly protecting the perfect baby that we created, that will be one tough little kid, why wouldn't it be its mom is a badass and so is it's dad.

"Are you going to be nice to her?" Said Aaron.

"Yeah. I'm sorry I freaked out, we had a woman in our group she died while giving birth it made me think of that. I got scared."

"She's not Lori. She's young and strong there's every chance it will be perfect labor. And if not Daryl I'm here so is Aaron and I think Carol has some experience with this as well. I think I'm in shock Daryl Dixon got scared? As I live and breathe." Said Rosita.

"Yeah I was but I talked to Carol and she thinks Erin will be okay that she won't die having the baby. I need to say I'm sorry."

"Of course she will be."

"I think she does as well. Well Rosita I think we will take that as our leave come on girl." I watch Aaron and Rosita leave.

I walk over to Erin and sit down.

"Erin I'm sorry I fought with you I never meant to, I was scared. I'm scared you are going to die and I don't want that, all I wanna do is protect you. I love you so much, Erin. I can't imagine my life without you actually I can and it's not a life. Maybe it's a good thing you're asleep I'd never be able to tell you this if you were awake. I can't wait to meet my own little ass-kicker, hopefully it will look like you, not like my ugly ass."

"Why wouldn't I want a baby to look like you, you are beautiful."

"You're awake. No, I'm not. This baby deserves a better dad. I don't know how to be a dad."

"You think I know how to be a mom? My mom died before I was one. I don't even remember her, I know her name but that's it. You will be a great dad you know why?"

"Why?"

"Because you don't want to repeat the mistakes of our parents. We both had shitty parents we won't be like them, in fact I know you are going to be a great dad. This kid is very lucky."

"Yeah, it's lucky it will have a badass as it's mom."

"More like a badass for its dad."

"Yeah, I am aren't I?"

"Love yourself much Daryl?"

"Not as much as I love you. So why didn't you tell me straight away babe?"

"I was scared I knew you wouldn't want me out there but I didn't want you out there alone we were meant to be out there we found Aaron he was the reason we went out. I'm not going anymore we don't need any more people. We do but you aren't going by yourself and there's not many I trust with you."

"Good to see you're making sense. I just wanna do is protect you. You know that means we will have to go on raids to find things for our little ass-kicker he needs clothes and toys and a bed all sorts of things."

"What do you mean he? I think it will be a girl and I wanna name her Hunter Angel. After her dad and her grandma. Thou those names work for a boy too. But we could raid these homes first see what's here I'm sure there had to be some people with babies. Then we will hit outside."

"Not you. So Hunter Angel huh? Hello Hunter, I'm your dad." I say toward her stomach I place my head on her stomach, then I felt Erin's hand on my head.
