Two years later.....

Daryl POV

So much has changed since we had Beth and George. Shortly afterwards colonel Wilson came back and said they've made the rest of the suburb of Alexandria a safe zone and we're moving us out so we could start creating a new world. They wanted everything back like it was. They had a hospital a real hospital, shops and even a school. They moved us out of our homes and into new homes. I couldn't believe what they gave Erin, the kids and I it was practically a mansion. There's like eight rooms here I've never seen something so pretty.

On the home front Erin and I are really good, I still look at her and I just want to throw her against a wall and screw her. I'm getting a little old but she still looks so beautiful, as beautiful as the day in the barn when I first saw her. There haven't been any new additions of late I hope that changes I do want to have more kids our babies aren't babies anymore. Beth is the splitting image of Erin so I guess I can see what she would've looked like as a little girl. I can't imagine making such a pretty girl learn to fight, But I'm glad her dad did I know she can look after herself and the kids if needs be. George well George he's all me, looks like me, acts like me even the faces he makes are me. He gives me this look and damn it's like looking into a mirror.

The army realised I have a gift I can repair pretty much anything with a motor surprised myself as well, I knew I knew my way around a bike but cars and trucks I wasn't so sure. So they set me up in the local mechanic shop and it's mine yeah I have a loan which has an interesting way to pay it off. I just have to do the army's work they need and it pays the loan off and any other jobs I do I get to keep the money so I'm making a nice little profit here. I can't believe I'm quite the little business man very respectable, nobody looks down on me. Yeah I'm still a redneck at heart but I'm not a dirty redneck unless I've been working hard. Those are the good days those are the days I know I can get Erin's motor really running.

"Honey I'm home."

"Hello one two three four kids. Where's George?"

"Outside daddy."

"What's he doing outside kids."

"You know babe he likes it out there. He's so like you. He really is an outdoor cat. I have a lot of trouble bringing him inside and cleaning him up."

"Yeah sounds like me when I was a kid and mom when she wasn't drunk she would have trouble getting me in the bath. She'd run after me saying 'Daryl Jacob Dixon you get back inside and have a bath you're all dirty.'"

"So until I met you not much changed huh?"

"Nope, then I met this amazing woman and she changed my life."

"Babe go have a shower and get changed, I've organised a babysitter. Guess what kids Aunty Carol will be here soon if you're really lucky she brought some of the cookies you like."

"Yay cookies."

"So what's happening babe?"

"I thought we could use a date night, actually it's a huge date night there will be about fifteen kids here what with Rosita and abe's three, Glenn and Maggie's two, Sasha and Spencer's three and Aaron and Eric's two and our five it will be kid central."

"So what's happening is something happening?"

"No I thought the mommy's might like a break with their hubby's and Rick and michonne are having us for dinner. Nothing over the top just a bar-b-que."
