Five years later...

Daryl POV

I can't believe my oldest are graduating, man I feel so old. I'm so proud of them and how they have performed. Hunter and Shelley are so smart, they were both offered a scholarships to the nearby university, he wants to become a doctor while Shelley wants to become a dancer, I have no idea where that comes from, Erin says it's from her grandma as she used to be a dancer so I guess that must be the case.

I don't know how lucky we got all our kids are so very smart. Merlynn she's a very talented artist or at least this proud dad thinks she is, Beth she's always writing, George well George he's like me but he doesn't mind school he's taking shop so he can work with me one day, we go out hunting at least once a month he puts me to shame we've started taking Ignatius as well he's a natural he picked up archery like he'd been doing it his whole life while his brother Billy to all our surprise he's musically inclined he can play the guitar and the piano and he's really good his been able to playing since he was seven, while Erica she is just the sweetest girl she's a homebody she likes staying with mom and cooking so we are looking at getting her in cooking classes as she loves to cook, the house always smells so good when I come home and Erin and Erica have been baking up a storm. While Jennifer, Jennifer is an interesting child she's very shy, she doesn't talk a lot when she does it's usually with her head down and in a very quiet voice we assume this is a Marco thing as she's nothing like the other kids as they are so loud and talkative. But we don't care we love her so much.

Erin gets more beautiful with each day. I love her as much as when I met her nearly twenty years ago I can't believe we've been married for nearly twenty years. It has been twenty wonderful years except when I treated her like crap when she was carrying our girl Jennifer which I'm still trying to make up everyday I make sure I kiss her in the morning and last thing at night and we don't go to bed angry, I actually talk that's what was the problem before Jennifer was born I didn't think I could talk to her tell her how I felt, also I couldn't talk to anyone else but the twins as we would get into trouble for killing Marco and the fire. On the bedroom front yeah we are still good my motor might take a little bit longer to start but we still do sleep together and even if we didn't that's okay to we don't need sex to keep us a couple but it's nice when it happens which is every other night.

"Babe wake up."

"I wasn't sleeping."

"No you were just drifting off in space, it's okay I do it all the time."

"I like to ask our Valedictorian Hunter Dixon to give the farewell speech."

"Babe did you know about this?"

"No wow our son is really smart Erin."

"You say that like it's an odd thing. He takes after his dad."

"Way to go Hunter."

"Woo hoo Hunter."

"Yeah Hunter."

Hunter gave an excellent speech about pursuing your dreams and never giving up. And how family and friends are important to help you make in it the community.

"Daryl babe? When did we get such an amazing son?"

"Have you seen me I'm awesome. Just ask the kids."

"Kids is dad awesome?"

"Yeah awesomely bad dad."

"George that's not nice."

We actually found a camera a few years ago and Daryl's been taking pictures like you wouldn't believe, and today is no different.
