Samantha wanted to get some stuff done today and she knew she had to get a jacket. The weather was changing and she didn't want to get a cold when the time came. She wanted to be ready. "I can talk to them if you want," Samantha offered as they walked into the field. "I would want you to if I was the new one. It's actually a shock they accepted me." She remembered how she landed on Daryl.

She pushed that thought away, it didn't matter how but she had found her family. She saw Hershel and she walked up to him. "Are those seed bags?" She asked looking at the things in his hands. "Yes, I want us to plant them. That way we have food when the winter comes." He explained.

"I can help plant them," he nodded. "Been gentle with that hand?" He asked looking up at her. "Yes, I just had to move bricks so no walkers could get through. If that group did then that's where the endless supplies of walkers came from. I think we should do more though, maybe take some of them back, we know walkers will try to get through. I just want to make sure we don't have to worry." Hershel nodded seeing her point.

"Go ask Glenn, see if any of them would go with you." She smiled at him before heading inside. She saw them gathered, "I already started securing that part, I could use help though." She said noticing they were talking about it.

"It's a bunch of bricks that can be moved, there are two ways for them to get in through the fences and the doors need to be blocked off. What I did was only temporary." She explained. Glenn nodded as he thought, "It'll be easier to secure the prison if that section is blocked off." Maggie agreed with Samantha.

"We can work on it tomorrow," Glenn said, "We can work on it today. I just can't do it alone." She didn't want them to wait and have more trickle in. "If a herd comes through we will be fucked, Carl don't say that word till your older." She added that last part knowing Lori would scold her if she heard her say it in front of Carl.

"Okay, how many do you need?" Rick asked. "At least three, one to keep watch the other to help move the bricks. I'm trying my best to listen to Hershel and be careful with my hand." Rick nodded.

"We go now, Glenn and Maggie could you come with us?" They both nodded, "One radio will be left here, and if you need anything you let us know." Everyone nodded. "Let's go, this is our only chance at stopping more from trickling in." Rick seemed uneasy but Samantha dismissed that.

They all headed to the area and Michonne came with them. "Thanks, I hope you don't let them kill us." She said, she was trying to welcome Michonne but she seemed to not want to be welcomed. "I won't," was all she said.

Rick gave instructions on the best way to block anyway in. And Samantha and Michonne worked on killing any walkers drawn to the noise. "What's the most amount of walkers you had to fight at once?" Samantha was specific with words knowing that she could get by in a herd without getting spotted.

She didn't answer and since Daryl wasn't here she had no one to talk to, she hated to admit that so she didn't.

"I was stuck in the prison for a whole night, I mean I did drag my sword against the wall. But I survived, it was really easy actually. That's why I want to train, in case I run into a bigger herd like the one that took Hershel's farm I can fight without risking anything." Rick spoke from behind her.
